The presidents of Haiti, Burundi, Eswatini, Ivory Coast, and Tanzania were all assassinated within 60 days of their public announcements that they would refuse to distribute the vaccines in their countries.
Their replacements were all pro-vaccine

The Haitian Presidents assassination was particularly blatant as the assassins only spoke Spanish and English and were using standard issue US Military Rifles (M4s) and escaped on a Black Hawk helicopter.
