Immigration from those countries should largely cease. The response to this is always “It’s because they’re poor.” but why let in people who are poor and violent? The response to that is essentially “the British can’t complain because they deserve this as punishment for colonialism.”Never with any specification about how deep the punishment should go before the guilt is declared absolved. Should they have to allow 20% of their population to become non-white? 35%? Only 53% of live births in England were White British as of 2025. Native Brits are on-track to become a minority in Britain soon. Yet leftists are still demanding more mass migration. So basically the punishment for their ancestors’ colonialism is demographic annihilation via mass migration.At no point did the British public ever support mass migration from Pakistan and Nigeria. At no point would a referendum on bringing in millions of migrants from Africa/South Asia have received anything but a resounding “No.” Leftists all over Europe are forcing people to become single-issue voters for far-right parties. At no point in any majority-white country did anyone desire mass migration of non-Europeans.Going back a bit, leftists are obsessed with this myth that Europe is rich primarily because of colonialism and the global south is poor primarily because of colonialism. In real life, Europe was extremely advanced before 1492. Those countries were poor before 1492. Also note how Norway and Sweden are wealthier than Spain and Portugal. And how poor Ethiopia is despite never being colonized. Superior technology and organizational capacity that developed before 1492 is the reason Europe is rich (and what enabled Europeans to colonize the world). Not post-1492 colonialism.
