The Edo from Star Trek is the ideal way to run a society. Just make any crime no matter how minor instantly punishable by death and you will have virtually no crime and a peaceful high trust utopia.

I could see jews and niggers accusing people of crimes, and then taking all their shit after they are executed. In fact, that's exactly what nigger jews (Bolsheviks) did in Russia 100 years ago.

inb4 "lying is crime punishable by death"
Not if you're never caught...

Lastly this episode sucked because it had Wesley in it as a main character. Wesley Crusher is the Milhouse of all Star Trek.

Two problems, one you will always have leftists which are insecure people with the false notion that power will make them overcome their shortcomings, whether IQ, morals, or upbringing. So you would have a society without losers, but also a society that is a mass murdering society which does not feel great either despite the relief from losers. So you are damn if you do and damn if you don't. It is almost as if it was set up to this way to challenge those who have no idea how much a gift it was to be brought into existence in the first place. You do know that the universe and time can not exist without the other, and do know what that means don't you? So, there is nothing ideal about your fruit trek society, it would only elevate those that wish to do the unpleasant murdering, which coincidentally is how leftists gain power...

>>
>>539180688
That's not accurate.

Season 1 had very uneven writing, and the writers were doing nothing with her character

>she thought the show was going nowhere
She thought her career was going nowhere if she stayed on the show. Two very different things

>then the show exploded in popularity
Because they actually made the changes that Denise Crosby (and others) wanted.

The truth is that TNG might not have ever become the success that it was if it weren't for Denise Crosby quitting the show. It forced the writers to bring the characters to life AND it removed one of the more high profile actors (at the time) which allowed some more time for each of the remaining characters.
>>
>>539181016
I'm not baiting. The planet of the week TOS style format and more surreal episodes like The Royale are just better than the boring political and war drama of later seasons and series.

so when your retarded ass gets involved in the hypothetical, suddenly the sytem doesnt work?
>>
>>539180708
>simps back in later seasons
Another mischaracterization.
Denise Crosby was wholly justified in not being happy with her character, and the writers even admitted it later.

The reason she appeared in later seasons was because both sides were reasonable and were amicable.
Her complaints were valid, and the writing team ended up bringing the characters to life in later seasons, which brought the show immense popularity. Bringing her back was a way for the production team to say "sorry" while also making the viewers happy, because Tasha Yar's death was a sore spot among many fans.

It was in everyone's best interest to have her back for some special episodes.

To be fair, though, the show kind of needed kids in a realistic sense.
The main characters needed to have personal lives, and that would mean spouse and kids in at least some cases.

Also as much as characters like Wesley annoyed adults, having kids on the show made it A LOT easier for kids like me to watch it when it was airing. Yes I stayed up late and watched it at 9 or 10pm

Japan did this. It became a high trust, low-crime society.
However, the people grew decadent and naive and didn’t understand that no one else had gone through this genetic filter (Europe did, to a lesser extent), so then they were infiltrated by kikes and imported shitskins and niggers who destroyed their society from within.

It's dumb the most obvious problem didn't come up in the episode. Not even the concept of over punishing someone, just the basic realization that false accusations would produce the lowest trust society possible. Even deathrays for everyone would be safer. Actually they are normal, and burn acreage is a lot lower today than back in the early 20th century thanks to modern forest management techniques. It's important to note that we cannot completely stop forest fires, nor should we want to, as forests burning down are a natural part of ecological cycles. We can however use techniques to mitigate damage to human environments like towns, cities, infrastructure, etc.

I met her and Ronald D. Moore at this random sushi restaurant in the bay area in California like 10 years ago. It was a Saturday night, and my friend and I had been drinking all day watching next generation and decided to get sushi that night, so we were sitting at the sushi bar quoting Next Gen like autists and eventually after a while this lady (the costume designer) tapped my friend on the shoulder and said "Uhm.. well, we never do this, but since you've been talking about the show non stop for the last 20 minutes, I'd like to introduce you to Ronald D. Moore, one of the writers and producers on Next Generation.. and I did costume design." We were obviously extremely happy to meet them and I immediately said to Ronald D Moore "Ronald, I would like to recite my favorite line in Star Trek to you "YOU ARE NOT FECKLAR!" and he had a sensible chuckle and then bought us a nice bottle of sake. We got a picture with him. That friend ended up getting into heroin and then started having gay sex and ruined his marriage. Fucking faggot. Anyways, good times.

>>
>>539202475
Look I know you're viewing this from the framework of literally 1:1 seeing a fantasy depiction as representing reality, but that shit flies over most people's heads anyways.
All they see in Trek is:
>English speaking people who act civilized and upstanding co-mingling
I.E. the brownoid as a concept doesn't exist in the show because people like Uhura and Cisko act like "people who are brown" instead of niggers.
Even the 1-2 times M'Benga shows up in McCoys absence in TOS, he speaks fluent and clear English while acting like a proper civilized gentleman, as opposed to his Strange New World counterpart who you can barely understand because the directors thought it would be cool to have a Starfleet officer speak in a dialect that no one on the fucking ship could understand, complete with raspy whisper.
Basically we're supposed to believe that race mixing only becomes okay once you have the tech to offset the negative genetic consequences, a-la Star Trek space magics.
That's how fantasy works. It's a simulation of a world that doesn't and can't exist at present. You're not supposed to say "oh we can race mix IRL at present 'cuz da funny space men did it!"
That'd be a retarded way to view media, but I guess that's normal for people who can't separate fantasy and reality in their lives. Or maybe I overestimate TV viewers, fuck if I know anymore.

It is a proven fact that repetition, models behaviour for human beings. It does not matter that people are seeing actors portray behaviours on tv and in movies, and in modern times, " influencers " modeling behaviours.
What matters is that this subject matter, and content is being written, produced, and otherwise created by real people.
When people see it over and over again, they learn from it.
This is taken advantage of, by those who wish to control the thoughts and actions, of the populous.
Because repetition models behaviour for human beings. Its how we learn.
Especially young adults, teens, and children who by nature, have underdeveloped brains and an absence of the skill of discernment.
>>
>>539202209
oh yes, that one. I wanted him to get executed.
>>
>>539179649
Here's the rub for any society:
You have 3 general groups of people:
1. Low IQ brainlets. No grasp on past/future, but damn they make good repetitive task doers.
2. Midwits/NPCs/normies/the average person. These are your basic trainable person with average IQ.
3. High IQ nerds/geeks/autists/etc. who basically are humans with super human reasoning skills and low/nonexistant social skills.

What works for one group fails on the other two as a general rule. You need physical punishment for group 1 because too stupid. Group 2 and 3 can have shit like time outs and incentives because they understand the future, but punishments for extroverts(2) don't work on introverts(3).

Additionally, all three groups hate each other. Normies don't like retards and nerds, nerds hate the other two, and retards don't care and will fight everyone.

A nasty fact is women love group 1. Their preferences trend down to lower IQ men (avg 80). Meaning there is downward pressure on overall social IQ. This means group 3 is rendered incel, group 2 might get some, and group 1 gets laid a lot. Plus women also have more white matter, so they tend to lie and manipulate more than men.

With enough tech, group 1 becomes useless, and group 2 starts to become useless. Group 3 is always useful because inventors & engineers.

So factoring in all of that into social rules is VERY difficult. It means a one-size fits all approach will always fail because it refuses to address the 3 very different mentalities in society. Plus there are really 6 groups if you break them out M:F with M:F split rendering each group with opposite desires and motivations.

This is why applying absolutes like "lying = death" results in social death. If lying = death, women all die = no more babies. Apply feminism, society dies because men have no rights anymore. Kill every rapist, whoops all men dead because women claimed all men are rapist. Kill any thief - well women are gonna get killed en mass.

Funnily enough, such a society existed, the Qin Dynasty, the one that unified the whole of China for the first time. its state philosophy was Legalism, as opposed to Confucianism (former hating the latter), and legalism was that kind of philosophy that would preach harsh punishment like you said
The fun part is that some people, if confronted to a situation where they know they will be executed no matter what, will prefer to fight (because nothing to lose);
aaand that's what happened one beautiful sunny day with a Qin law enforcement officer, Liu Bang (picrel)
And like this, he overthrew the Qin and formed the Han dynasty (and Confucianism made it's comeback on the way)

There is a piece of the TOS soul in those first seasons that slowly dies off.

Roddenberry seemed like he was big on episodes being about something deeper. Michael Piller did a good job of carrying this torch imo at least for seasons 3 and 4. 5 has some all timers as well, but 6 and 7 really start losing it and the 'good' episodes aren't that allegorical anymore.

A lot of people can't appreciate what made TOS special though, and I think that's why DS9 has its fans.
