I'd hope all of Canada was willing to become US states. If each province became a state, we might actually be able to break out of the two party system; but also even the conservative parts of Canada have more socialist policies in general than the US; so there's a chance that if Canadian provinces joined the US; our Republican party would basically permanently lose control of the House at the very least, but likely the Senate as well.
Canada would die if this happened. Alberta is most of Canada GPD and Quebec is historically the heart of Canada.
