The acting was fine from all of them. That's it. If anything, the arc of Page's character kind of parallels her troon out, which is maybe Nolan being a bit subversive.The complaints about lack of colour are laughable as well. It was very colourful in some places. I saw this a lot on X.And then there's the fucking AUTISTIC complaints about armour being or not being realistic. And this is where the commentary just becomes really bad.Who gives a fuck about whether the armour is accurate or not? This is the sort of complaint I'd expect to hear from the generic high school dropout balding bachelor 50-something uncle archetype you saw 20+ years ago. Since when was every single adapted or historical movie supposed to fully adhere to every element of the source material? This is pure aesthetic death. He says they couldn't pack the whole story in a three hour movie, a five hour movie would have been better (though unrealistic for modern audiences). Some casting choices were cringe, but most of them were really small roles so it wasn't a big problem. He said the worst one was Helena of Troy, he surprisingly didn't have a big problem with Elliot Page. Matt Damon was excellent in his role, according to him. All in all, he says it's a mid-level Nolan movie and he doesn't regret watching it, better than Tenet and a lot of others. He gives it a 7.8 or so. You can count on him to give fair and reasonable feedback.

I thought the movie was pretty good. The black actors and actresses were fine in their roles even if they were undoubtedly out of place. My actual gripes were the final battle where the camera couldn't stay still and Mark Damon was fighting like an arthritic, and the fact that shortly before that it unironically used the line "our age of bronze is collapsing"On the other hand I particularly liked the portrayal of the fall of Troy, Polyphemus' cave, and probably the most disturbing transformation sequence I've seen in a piece of media on Circe's island
