I think a lot of /pol/ needs help understanding what Democratic Socialism is. We're not crazy communists who want to "rise up" and kill the bourgeois. We believe it Democratic reform of the State to be in favor of the worker and the little guy rather than the elites. We believe the State right now uses its power and sway over the economy to channel resources upwards, we want it to work in favor of the people. This is taxation for the elite>MortgagesGovernments subsidize mortgage rates and grant tax write offs to property owners. Renters and people without access to such capital are shut out of the system. >Cantillion affect.The Federal Reserve grants low interest loans to banks, buys bonds in companies like Microsoft and Apple. Not only does this subsidize those companies, but it lowers interest rates for the borrowing class, and bolsters property values of the owner class.This is why we need WORKERS like myself to make changes to the government. This doesn't mean we seize all the companies, there are peaceful ways to transfer ownership over the means of production from the plutocracy to the workers. Ironically, JEFF BEZOS came up with a great idea. Cut waste in the government, and give the bottom 50% a FEDERAL TAX EXEMPTION. Someone earning within that range now has extra cash that they can use to buy stocks and slowly build assets.
