NATO would push back, but only very slightly into Russia; except for Kaliningrad, which is occupied. Nobody wants to march to Moscow. Ukraine would probably get it's borders back as now there's no reason to keep it out of NATO, and around that time it would really suck to be a Russian in the black sea. Likely 5 figure deaths on both sides, but nether wants total war, and propagandists from both sides will try and frame it as a limited war. There would be an attempt to convince Russia to fuck off and negotiate some kind of truce without anybody nuking anybody else. It may or may not work, depending on if Putin is still alive and if not who replaces him. This all assumes Trump isn't President anymore when it happens and it's literally almost anyone else from either American political party.
