I burned the Sonic OVA ISO onto DVD and then archive.org deleted it. My computer had crashed. Disc saved it.
>>539213172Damn straight. I had multiple SSDs and HDDs fail during one HOT cross-country move. 6 or 7 devices ALL AT ONCE. All my backups! 10 yeaes worth of stuff!!Everything......but the DVDs and CDs that I had burned before "advancing" to newer tech.I seriously think it's on purpose that SSDs and HDDs crash unexpectedly. A response to p2p and pirating. They want us all on the cloud.Controlled.SciHub and LibGen are also great books.https://open-slum.pages.dev/

>>539212561>GOLD DVDs LAST 100 YEARSbut how do they know it last 100 years? DVDs have only been around for like 40 years
the bigger problem is will the drives to read them still exist in 100 years

>>539214119Pre-1970s popular science books are amazing. Every example is masculine. Etc etc. A real breath of fresh air. Casual western bias and zero fluff. Of course, having a physical copy is best.
>>539213584It is. But the Jews are pernicious, if nothing else.
>>539212561I have all my music backed up on minidiscs.
>>539214426Jealous that i never heard of it until now and also a lityle angry that they stopped producing. They really, reeeally need to control everything we read, listen to and watch. Information is power. What other formats should we be looking out for? I like that they were essentially "skip proof"! And still held 80 minutes. Crazy
>>539214625They were really popular around 98 to 01' when I was in high school, everyone ditched their discmans and got minidisc recorders. I still have my Sony MZ-N920 to play and record music. Blank minidiscs are getting hard to find though.
>>539214892Impressive longevity.30 - 50 years. Burn multiple copies of your Top 10 albums and riiiide it out, anon! Good luck

>>539213355because then you'd own something you could resell, why video games are going digital only so you can't resell them
slaving away just to accumulate ones and zeros you cant turn around and resell down the road
>>539215863>>539215831Good point. Sadly, conformity is on the rise & too many people lack deep appreciation for art and rare information. (I blame intent brain shrinkage.)
