A draft will immediately trigger extreme unrest, and bussification doesn't work so good when cities are overrun with armed feral niggers. If America could assemble the necessary force, it would have to invade Iraq in order to approach Iran, since America cannot gain operational control of the strait. After an invasion and occupation of Iraq, America could then begin ground operations against Iran, following the same route that Alexander the Great regretted attempting. All of this would take place under Chinese eyes and Iranian missile barrages. That gets America to Iran's border. America has demonstrated its full capability in Iran already. A 2 million man invasion of Iran would require 2 million men and a place to stage the invasion. America has neither.
