Why does rape or any form of sexual assault come so naturally to Russian males? Does this explain the high HIV rates in Russia? I can’t think of any other explanation.

Did everyone forget that most Russian soldiers are former prisoners who all committed murder and rape?
It was big news at the start of the war.
Putin conscripted convicted felons.
How do you not know this?

this is false though.

The war in 2022 began with a mix of contract soldiers and conscripts.
Once it became obvious that original SMO isn't working out, and they will need to shift to attrition warfare - Russia quickly scrambled to recruit soldiers, and Wagner (PMC) was allowed to recruit prisoners.

The overall make-up of the Russian armed forces since then (and to this day) is a mix of:
- Ukrainians forcefully recruited to serve in the Russian Army
- Russian regular conscripts
- Russian contract soldiers (majority)
- Russian and foreign mercenaries recruited by Wagner and other PMCs, partially staffed by prisoners from Bakhmut times.
