I have always believed, and still believe, that Hitler was simply a mad populist politician who came to power during a difficult period for Germany. Because he was insane and decided to wage war against everyone, he led Germany to defeat, the loss of German territories, the mass deportation of ethnic Germans from Eastern Europe, and the division of the country into two parts (the West controlled by the US and the East controlled by the USSR).

I also feel that Putin is somewhat similar to Hitler. He does not seem like a rational person and is obsessed with Ukraine. I think that in the long run, this could weaken Russia significantly, even more than it already has.
