I have a theory that the elder members of a generation are typically cooler than the younger ones. The younger ones take the cultural norms created by their older piers and push them into cringe territory. For example, older millennials liked star wars, but the younger ones are turbo fan boys of the series, despite many of them never seeing the original films on TV back in the day. Younger Zoomers as well seem particularly cringe compared to older ones as well and seem to push zoomer trends into stupid territory. Does this hold water for gen X and Boomers too?
