If Ukraine keeps poking the bear and going after Russian energy infrastructure and civilian targets, Russia will have no choice but to take the gloves off. You may laugh, but there's still a lot of room for Russia to escalate and target critical civilian infrastructure that they have been avoiding so far, especially now that Ukraine has run out of missile defense ammo. Russia has been remarkably restrained so far in the war. You wouldn't want all of Ukraine to turn into another Gaza do you?
