Actual retard here that knows shit about economics. I'd like an actual answer that doesn't read like it was copy and pasted from liberal redditor please.
>>
Trickle down economics was a democrat smear. No republican ever said it. Would you rather live in the 80s economy or right now?
>>

no, those billionaires lobbied the government and paid off candidates so they could get cheaper replacement labor through immigration, that way they wouldnt have to have any of their wealth "trickle down"

All of these arguments are ultimately futile
There is no viable economic system alternative to capitalism

There is capitalism
And then there are a bunch of loony unviable ideas
>>
80s but the economy seemed fairly good from post WWII to the 80s, and things got real shitty after that in the following decades.

I wanna live in the 50s economy where a man could support a family on one salary please.

nope. exact same issue again that exposes why fascism and communism become flawed/broken. because humans in power inevitably are self serving.
>>
trickle down economics never work (and the entire term was originally a meme)
lowering bars and encouraging entrepreneurship does

Economics like how Republicans were pushing it for the last 50 years was completely invalidated by the last 15 years. Economics is fake. It's all centrally planned and it's all top down.
>>
How about I trickle down your buttcheeks

Gottem

Doesn't the US already have the most progressive tax system in the western world?
I'm not saying that taxing the rich less will lead to more money 'trickling down' to the bottom, but They are already taxed more. The issue isn't we need to tax the rich it's that the government needs to spend less. They won't though. So taxing them less just leads to more debt.

Also this. lowering regulations opens the market to more competition from start ups.

Reaganomics was a salvage operation to rescue some form of growing economy from the wreckage of the industrial economy that Carter's Fed had caused. The high unemployment of the early 80s recession doesn't even tell the whole story, 90% of the job losses were in productive industries. This was a direct result of the Fed's interest hike.

The liquidation of that destroyed industry had made some money available. Reaganomics and the restoration of optimism kept this in the country where it built all those malls and service industries that powered the late 80s recovery.

People just do not comprehend how destructive the Fed's inflation scram was.

No. Why would it work? Think about it for 2 seconds. The economic conditions of today are a direct result of neoliberalism's full entrenchment during the Reagan years.
