The Odissey isn’t bad, people whining are just coping. Yeah it’s a bit overhyped/pretentious, but it’s still a tense epic, and the "wokeness" reads like an allegory for civilizational decline: the fall of Troy as the beginning of the Dark Ages and the Sea People as rebellious Achaeans
