A new party for a new era.America First asks: who is government responsible to?Democratic socialism asks: who should the economy serve? The answer is the same: the people.America is not merely a market, a military, or a collection of competing identities. It is a democratic home. Its citizens should not be sacrificed to global capital, endless war, monopolies, financial speculation, or a political class that answers to donors before workers. But national solidarity cannot be built on racial hostility, inherited privilege, or contempt for the rest of humanity. Every person has equal human worth. Workers should not be divided by color, origin, religion, or culture while the powerful extract wealth from all of them. That principle applies to immigration as well. People should be free to seek a better life, but movement must be lawful and organized for the common good. Newcomers must be treated humanely, while existing citizens must not lose wages, housing, public services, political representation, or their material stake in the country they built. This is patriotism without oligarchy and socialism without contempt for the nation. We believe in strong unions, affordable homes, universal healthcare, productive industry, secure borders, civil liberties, democratic government, and peace abroad. We reject both corporate globalism and ethnic nationalism. The establishment survives by convincing Americans that economic justice and national loyalty are enemies. They are not.America belongs to its people, and its economy should too.
>>539253171>America firstSo these socialists are also nationalists? Like national socialists?
>>539253171is it actually a new party, or is it just a splinter group of the Democrat party which is going to cause a bunch of infighting and split some of the vote while a huge portion of them pinch their nose and voot for whomever runs with the (D) by their name?
>>539253368Nationalism by incentive, not fiat.
>>539253422New party representing the synthesis of what we all actually care about
>>539253368Hey that sounds like a pretty good idea
>>539253516>New party i suppose we'll see how they appear on the ballot then
>>539253589We have to get them on the ballot. We have to make the party.
