i like closed in spaces.
that is not even that small to me.
i'd love it.
but i'd not rent it.
i can build that myself for like $12,000, almost the same price as renting it from someone for a year.
>>
>>539269652
Absolutely awful value per sqft. I would consider it at $250 per month, but at $900, you're better off renting a regular place and not being in whatever hellhole city that is
>>
>>539269841
and since that $12,000 was financed, i would only have to pay like $300/month on it maybe.
>>
>>539269841
also that location is the main problem. i could buy a rural 0.5 acre plot away from any main road or annoying neighbors or the "city" enforcing their stupid regulations on me, for like, $3000 here in appalachia

Also, that's at least 1600 a month before utilities in Canada. More if you rent.

350 sqft is actually a lot if you design it better than OP's video and have you "things" (waster, dryer, cabinets, etc) with more verticality and then tricks like a bed that pulls out from the wall etc.

>>
>>539270133
It really is abysmal. The loft doesn't seem to serve a purpose, as the bathroom is available through what seems to be a bedroom. My last shitbox apartment is better than this.
Jeets might love it though. 3 people in the loft, 4 people in the bedroom, and they can all hangout and eat curry in the kitchen between their 70 hours of work a week. All the oily fumes of the kitchen can waft right into the loft.
>>
>>539269863

>>539269652

>>
Why the fuck did they design this this way? There had to have been a more efficient layout
>>
>>539270363
It's clearly targeted at people who are okay with "communal living." Having to go through a bedroom to reach the bathroom is a big giveaway. The loft is clearly only functional as a place to sleep, so they are imagining 2 (really more like 4) people living there.
It's like how in the third world people swipe on tiktok on public buses without headphones with no regard for the cacophony it makes, along with the endless yapping on their cells. You can imagine the rich smells of curry and endless chatter when you see this place.
>>
Honestly I live in a <200 square foot studio and only 2 things are annoying about it
1. Cooking. Low freezer space, low fridge space, low counter space, no oven, only 2 burners on the range
2. if you plan on having guests you need to make 100% of your living space presentable, very annoying if you're a lifestyle gooner and need to triple check all the paraphernalia is away
Other than that having more space would just be annoying if you plan on staying single

Thats too small --- its like a prison cell. a jail cell. You're paying money to not be hit by rain drops or stung by insects or assaulted by night stalkers. but the walls, the tiny space, would be claustrophobia inducing

I'd tear down the dumb bedroom walls to create one kitchen/living space. Kitchen fumes in the loft is somewhat mitigated by the fumehood but really you'll just have to deal with it, or cook on low heat.
It is obviously enough room for a bachelor, or god forbid, a single woman, but the design is 100% targeted at people who think walking past sleeping people to take a piss is okay.
A single person would sleep in the loft and the bedroom is useless walled off like that. Again, it's for pinoys, jeets, etc.

>$900 a month at 350 square feet.

I'm renting my mom's house that I inherited right now for $800 a month to a working family. Its 2 bedrooms, 1 bath with a living room, kitchen, washer and dryer, a fenced back yard, a front yard, woods behind it and a 5 acre field next to it and its a 5 minute drive from town and 5 minutes drive to an elementary school, a middle school and a high school. I think its around 1500 square feet.

I could probably get double what I'm charging for the house; but I'm not a money grubbing parasite trying to get rich off a working class family. That $800 a month pays the taxes on the land, the upkeep on the property and makes me a few grand a year. I'd feel guilty asking them to pay me more and I'm a stock trading cheapskate.

You're assuming these places are being primarily rented to the local populous of the city, in which case, yeah it's a bad deal. But when you take into account specialists workers who are in the area on a temporary bases(i.e traveling nurses, technicians, consultants) these places make more sense. These are people that are payed handsomely, need a place to live only temporarily, don't want to deal with upstairs neighbors, need a place close to work, and don't have close friends and family in the area (so they're really not planning inviting anyone over; any social interaction will be somewhere else). Still, like many mentioned, it could be better designed.

You wake up, go to work, grind out 40+ hours a week, make $15 an hour, and what do you get? Barely enough to afford rent in a glorified broom closet that smells like cigarettes and regret. Housing is a joke—either you’re paying $1,500 a month for a roach-infested studio, or you’re stuck with roommates who cry over their UberEats order getting canceled. Meanwhile, “luxury” apartments pop up everywhere, charging $3,000 a month so you can live in a shoebox with a “communal workspace” full of unemployed crypto bros.

Step outside, and it’s even worse. The roads look like a warzone, every building is either abandoned or graffiti-covered, and the only new businesses opening are weed dispensaries and overpriced coffee shops. The mall? Dead. Bars? Just daycare centers for single moms who “need a break” from the kids they had with Chad. Parks? Good luck avoiding the homeless dude screaming at a tree. Even if you do find something to do, it costs a fortune, and you’re surrounded by people who look like they escaped from a Walmart clearance bin.

And then there’s women. Used to be, if you worked hard, you could at least get a decent girlfriend. Now? Most are either built like refrigerators, covered in garbage tattoos, or already have a kid (or two, or three) from some “bad breakup.” The ones that aren’t disasters? Too busy selling feet pics on OnlyFans to guys who make more than you.

Then there’s the worst part—someone like Pan Piano is making half a million a year just by playing piano in cosplay, while you’re debating whether you can afford gas and groceries in the same week. Imagine explaining to someone 20 years ago that in the future, shaking your ass online would be a better career move than getting a degree.

They told us to work hard, be responsible, and do things the “right way.” Turns out, the real move was to be born rich or shameless. Society is a joke, and we’re the punchline.

these designs were influenced by trailer park or holiday park cabins which were designed to have temporary occupants. its a similar cope to van life imbeciles. neither are meant to be a home. also most of these things in OPs pic rel and classified as Unit Dwellings. They are not freehold titled homes. As such you are also bound by HOAs. that in itself is enough for you to never want to buy-in. Essentially end up paying double the property taxes of an actual freestanding allotment home. So all the hidden costs are backended and keep increasing over time. There is no financial benefit over a 20year like a property titled allotment, or a shared group maintenance expenditure scheme like an apartment building.

Exactly... I inherited my tiny (1300sqf) childhood home from my widowed mom. I don't use the master bed room. Store just miss crap in the 10x10 middle bed room. Living room is MTB crap, dining room is just craft hobby BS like a 3d printer etc.. I basically hang out in the back 10x12 room where the PC and TV is located.
So I don't need more space. I could drop down to 1000 or less sqf if the floor plan was decent. The main +5 for this tiny run down house is I'm in an absolutely amazing location sandwiched between multi-million dollar neighbor hoods on three sides. Good choice mom....
Other wise I basically live in a tiny in da hood sort of home. The location is the entire point.

This is how you know its all dogshit on offer. It would be easy to maximize floor area with a basement level on a detached house where dwelling footprint is (((apparently))) the biggest restriction. Similarly the upper level needs to maximise the entire 2nd floor, and ffs include a proper stairwell.
This is the 'tell' that the entire concept isn't about land use, it's about making the build quality compromise for set price construction and profit, or yield as its called in the business. The entire concept is totally stupid unless its used as a holiday park for tourism accomodation

That doesn't really mean anything in this context. You can Google per foot construction cost near Houston TX and get a range of $145-$300+. So 1887sq feet is $275k to $566k. I assume his and Google's numbers are old. As in pre trump's dipshit tariffs and before the immigration crack down.
So eh $262k is possible but not so much today. Plus that's money up front sort of spending VS a 30 year mortgage.

Why yes, I always wanted to climb a fucking ladder to get to my bed, just like summer camp when I was 8 year old.
>>
>>539269758
Fuck off back the sharty.
Youre not welcome here
>>
>>539269909
And then $20k for a well and $10k for septic.
>>
>>539269652
Looks nicer and probably more spacious than where I live now for $1200/month.
>>
>>539269652
>350 square feet
That's not a house anon
>>
>>539269652
>$900 a month

No, I will continue to take my NEETbux and live out of a car so I can maintain surfing, jiu jitsu, weight lifting and smoking weed until something new comes along.
>>
>>539269652
alone sure. Though 900 a month is quite a lot.

Indian village boys are eating better than that. Little clitty Timmies can only seethe about breeding and shiieet. https://www.hindustantimes.com/trending/mathura-man-s-journey-from-bike-in-india-to-bmw-and-own-house-in-us-goes-viral-101784520057291.html

>>539269652
no, the layout is fucking awful.
>come in
>immediately next to the fridge and cooking plate
>then a single small room where you have to fit everything else that is not the kitchen or the toilet
>follow by the bathroom, so every guest has to walk through whatever you put into that free room, be it your bedroom or office
>it's all shaped like a slightly wider hallway
a fair price for that would be 500-600, not 900
which probably doesn't even include utilities
>>
>>539269652
Fucking climbing a latter to get to your bedroom lmao. Better not sprain your ankle or you're fucked. Anything that stops you from climbing and you can't go to bed. Also, air conditioner in the way so it's always gonna be a chore to get up there. Such a retarded design
>>
>>539270566
>those storing spaces on the floor
good luck ever reaching them again, kek
these videos are fun from a "how could I make the most out of little space" perspective, but anyone who thinks you should have to live like that deserves being put to the sword.
fucking prison cells are more spacious than that.
>>
>>539271585
>omg how do ya'll handle chores?!
normalfags obsession with trying to dodge chores will never cease to amaze me. that shit is so piss easy, most mothers just eventually offload half of it onto their children because even a 10yo can do it.
just put on an audiobook or something if you're bored otherwise.
those are tasks you'd hand to the mentally disabled in an assisted living facility.
>>
>>539273784
never saw any confirmation for that. just some reddit post from a woman saying she lezzed out and left her husband and now he killed himself but it's not her fault, with zero evidence that it's her.
it wouldn't surprise me though. that guy was clearly a broken man, so it's a 50:50 if her leaving him rekindled his soul and he's now finally living a happy life, or he just killed himself because he lost his last reason to continue.

Home version of eat the bugs. Caused by extreme greed.

Why is Jake the Realtor not been deported? Why are the jews still allowed to live?
Why are rent seeking grifting filth like lawyers and realtors not summarily shot for doing nothing of value. Why would the sum total of all the workers pay in a construction of a house be less than the commissions a realtor gets when 'selling' the house?
Why are all bankers and 'traders' not shot and thrown in a mass grave? How does a company lose or gain billions even trillions in fiat shekel value in a week when its the same company, same products?
If all these rent seeking scumbag rat vermin were disposed of the rest of us would be breeding at above replacement rate and the borders would be closed and our houses would be better and the money we would be paid for work wouldnt lose its value to inflation.
The benefits of destroying all the jews and those like them is huge.

>>539269652
Every vagina in a house like that will be dry as bone unless you are hosting a cunt cheating on her husband.
>>
>>539269652
>Would you live at this house?
Does it come with 50 acres? Yes. No? Then fuck no.
>>
>>539290113
>think of the PUSSY bro the PUSSY
>>
>>539290193
>Does it come with 50 acres? Yes. No? Then fuck no.
This kind of acreage could process a lot of jews.
>>
>>539269652
$900 might be reasonable.
Depending on the area.
$900 is worth not having to share an apartment wall with browns, simple as.

Worst part is that this is unironically unaffordabole/non existing in the entirety of Ile-de-France where I live. For 900$ (788 euros), you would get a (very) shitty 270sqf appartment with probably mold and 20 mins walk from the nearest train station.
