Are they lying to us about the unemployment rates?

This job market has been significantly difficult to navigate. Covid and AI really gave us the shaft and there is a lot of professionals struggling. Inflation is causing people to fall behind on bills which is making it hard to keep liscences from getting put in inactive status due to non-payment on taxes, childsupport, bills for tradesmen and the like.

I feel like we are being gaslit to all hell about the current unemployment rate.
