What are the political implications of nationwide ADHD medication shortages?
>>539308134They little balls are eggs of parasites , adhd is fake
People might go outside
>>539308248Those parasites make you feel good
The 1% of people who actually need them will suffer. The 99% who are just looking for a trendy label and free amphetamines will tweak their asses off and probably get addicted to meth
>>539308134Damn, I just took Adderall XR for the first time today. It sucks. I don't feel shit. The normal IR adderall is much better, but it gives me mega insomnia. (It didn't previously when I used to take it like 15 years ago).
I dunno because I dumped my 3 month script in the toilet months back. I loved those things way too much but I'd basically just hyperfocus on shit that didn't matter and sometimes end up gooning for 18 hours straight. I'm in my 30s now and cant keep beating the shit out of my body.
>>539308134People need beating instead of adhd medication.
>>539308307Not really. At least not with normal dosages. It's like a really slow and weak version of speed, so before you feel good you'll be super fucking hyper, which kinda offsets this unless your goal is to be hyper.>>539308354Its addiction potential is pretty slim. Don't think the people who use it to get high use it every day. No, they toss half the bottle in one weekend.
>>539308134It’s like $600 for a thirty day script because for some reason we have the kikes cook vyvanse. Literally the scourge of the earth Jews need to be eradicated
>>539308354>99% who are just looking for a trendy label Literally no one gives a fuck about this. >free amphetamines will tweak their asses off Yes.
>>539308134Haven't you had one for 5 years now because 90% of you nitroethane comes from China?
>>539308788>Literally no one gives a fuck about this.Don't you know people who use neurodivergence as a substitute for personality?
>>539308134Vyvanse is 100 times better
>>539308754That's what my parents did to me and it seemed to work.. i still remember their funerals into the swamp
>>539308134A large number of people are about to learn how to cook meth.
>>539308632>IR adderall>gives me mega insomniaConsider not using it in the evening? The entire point of it is rapid onset and short duration vs XR slowish onset and "long" duration, although even the XR should be 90% eliminated after 16h.So it seems rather unlikely your insomnia is tied to the meds themselves.
>>539308895I see it from faggots online but most people don't operate like this.
>>539308134Just get a nicotine habit and take vitamin B complex, Adderall is shit long term.
>>539308134coffee and energy drinks... they'll be OK.
>ADHDmade up condition
>>539309295No don't take caffeine for "energy". Caffeine is a net negative on your overall alertness since you crash off of it in the afternoon and/or it ruins your sleep at night. It just blocks the signal in your brain that tells you you're tired, but you are still actually fatigued and performing poorly.
>>539309116Whether these meds are good or bad depends on your genes in precisely the same way it does with caffeine.>don't like caffeine or drinking 10 cups of coffee? Then this shit might not be for you, although it also reduces the dose required. People who cannot tolerate caffeine at all cannot tolerate these meds either, and are at high risk of cardiovascular damage from using it for extended periods.>maybe having super high blood pressure all the time isn't idealThe people who actually need it (ADHD spastics) will only get extreme effects like hypertension or euphoria at very high dose levels because their chemistry is fucked (which made them spastics to begin with).
>>539308134I remember the covid shortage fondly. Literal speed addicts tweaking out because their speed stopped being available for pickup at CVS kek.
>>539309649>need itYeah okay bud.
>>539308248I wouldn't say it's fake but it was vastly over diagnosed and the "solution" is bad. It was basically used to neuter young boys en masse.
>>539308134tried some of those medications straight from pharmacies and other drugs, it's 100% placebo, didn't feel shitadderall, amphetamines, modafinil, semax, coke, benzos, alcohol, shrooms, DMT, 5-meo, mescaline, LSD, the list goes on and on. yes tried megadoses tooall the same placebo...is it really that difficult for people to direct their awareness so they percieve things differently?"""wow omggggg i phased into the so-called non-physical partly, all the colors!!!!!111""" .........
>>539308921My bro gave me his Adderall after he switched to Vyvanse and I didn't sleep a wink for five fucking days. Shit was getting weird. I cannot imagine how ridiculous Vyvanse is.
Mmmmmmm I miss crushing and snorting those lil' BBs. Last time I got to do that I was playing Borderlands 2
>>539308134Young people could do with a little dose of reality.
>>539309793Ever seen a guy who needs glasses? Or a wheelchair? Or hearing aids?>fucking addicts, manIn any case: the effective dose tends to be too low to develop anything approaching addiction (or to get high); although I wouldn't advise using it every day without fail. Good idea to skip a day once in a while to avoid habituation; simply using it because you're used to using it.
>>539309888Lying clown. You will convince absolutely nobody in this world that you can't feel the effects of any of the drugs you just listed. Fucking moron, lmao.
>>539309968That wasn't the Adderall unless you have an extremely severe metabolic defect of some sort. These drugs simply do not last that long - unless you used a huge fucking amount of the XR variety, that is, like 20 capsules at once.
>>539310113The average starting dose for Americans is like 2.5 or even 5mg. Taken two to three times a day. It's definitely enough to get addicted.
>>539309793>nnnooooooo you dont understand I have a special chemistry that only few humans have that cannot be measured by any metric so I need dopamine drug to give me the drive to do something at all!most of these people need to exercise, eat well, get some sun and less electronic slop.
>>539310113>the effective dose tends to be too low to develop anything approaching addictionTell that to the 30 y/o "kids" during covid who have eaten some sort of stimulant since they were 8 years old. There's no way that long term daily usage doesn't fry your brain and make you gay like any other speed addict.
>>539310239I kept taking them over the course of the five days, man. He gave me all his leftover pills. There were probably 30 but I don't remember the dose.
>>539308307so will my dick in your asstrust me bro
>>539309888so you're a waterhead and you got scammed when you tried to buy drugsIt is completely impossible for a human brain to NOT react to some of the substances that you've mentioned. it is much more likely that you got scammed or are just lying then that your body magically defies basic chemistry
>>539310302>2.5 or even 5mgAight let's bring up some studies on meth, shall we? Let's see...>the average reported daily methamphetamine consumption was 0.96g960mgPurity was tested at around 70% average, so about 670mg.>quite a bit more than 7.5 - 15And meth is far stronger, both faster and shorter acting, making it drastically more dangerous than speed (amphetamines).>still somehow they use 50 times the amountHonestly quite impressive; I didn't expect this number myself.
>>539310348Ultimately it's a matter of what the alternative would have been.Would he have been a useless spastic failure-at-everything without the meds, but can actually hold down a McDonald's cashier job and keep his flat clean when using them? Then evidently it's a net positive.>>539310392Well yeah, that's a fairly predictable outcome then, especially if he had a strong prescription.
>>539308134>adhdThe only medication requires is corporal punishment.Works everytime.
>>539308134I mean, half the people on them don't need them anyway, so who cares?
>>539310613That doesn't mean it's not addictive. I'm not against it or anything. I was prescribed Ritalin and later Concerta as a kid (for ADD back before it was rolled into ADHD which my brother was diagnosed with.) I don't really think it changed anything but that was a long time ago. I just remember feeling shitty for a week or two after I stopped taking it.
currently trying elvanse and ritalin and this shit does nothingelvanse atleast keeps the mood stable but ritalin is just completely pointless
>>539309968Vyvanse is the cleanest amphetamine I have taken. I have used every single amp known to man.
>>539308248They don't taste like parasites. And if it's fake, explain how that shit makes me sleepy asf?I'll take a hundred mgs for fun sometimes.I pop em open and crunch the little tiny beads. I don't get zooted at all. Just calmer, and could and have legit went to sleep right after.
>>539308632Just dump the pills into a bowl and crush them to powder. Tada! You now have IR.Don't wanna fuss with that?Just open the pills into your mouth and crunch till you don't hear any more crunches. They don't taste bad at all.A little sweet actually.
I think that people with ADHD are just adapted to a certain kind of environment that doesn't really exist in the modern world. When you see them in action in that environment, what they are capable of can only be described as superhuman. If you're sitting in an office environment with them then you won't understand what I'm talking about. I think that drugs like adderal help them cope with these artificial environments that are a bad fit for their nature. They need to be moving, talking to people, keeping the plates spinning, working. They can see everything at once in a way that most people will never understand.
>>539308354This.
>>539310926That unfortunately happens, and naturally there are cases of misdiagnosis, but sometimes the meds simply don't do what they're supposed to.Even worse with the likes of SSRIs but let's not even talk about this cursed shit, and some psychiatric medication is super addictive and dangerous, like benzos (or opiate painkillers lul). The ADHD medication is fairly mild in comparison, when used appropriately; the effect is more muted than a normal person would experience, so ADHD meds being super strong actually is an indicator of not having ADHD booya.
>>539308754I used to think that ADHD was fake until I had kids and one of them had it. When he's not on his medication he can't even have a conversation. He's like a goldfish. He'll just get up in the middle of whatever he's doing and wander away. He can't focus on school or sports or hobbies or even eating. No amount of discipline or yelling or positive reenforcement would change it. He just couldn't focus on anything for more than a minute or two. Once we got him on medication it was like night and day. He's completely normal now, just like his brothers. He started doing better in school. He plays sports. We can do things as a family and not have to worry about him wandering off. Some people are mentally challenged, but your brain responds to chemicals and if certain chemicals can cure your ailment, there is nothing wrong with using them. It's akin to giving a type 1 diabetic insulin.
>>539311100>elvanse atleast keeps the mood stableHuh..? That's not really what it's supposed to do.From my experience it just boosts attention and flips a switch of sorts, from being overwhelmed to "can do"; but there's also a long list of potential side-effects, so maybe that's on there. It's a mild medication however, especially if you have a high tolerance; which is the same as caffeine tolerance; so if you can stomach 10 cups of coffee you need a fairly high dose. For some 30mg is sufficient, but I need to use 50-100.
>>539312117There probably is some truth to this; further impacted by particular modern influences while growing up.>TikTok is not good for people's attention spanAnd can only be worse for people suspectible to ADHD type behavior. There's also a certain amount of baggage that tends to accumulate, people feeling like a failure for not managing to do what "they are supposed to do", for instance. That will have negative repercussions in itself, long-term.
>>539308134all the anchor babies diagnosed with ADHD so their illegal parents get a disability slush fund might get a few days without being on speed?
