Is deflation really bad for the economy or just bad for shareholders?
>>
>>539331499
Why are you asking /pol/? This is a group of people who get all their information from Twitter posts and YouTube videos. You could go read a fuckin book instead of asking a bunch of literal dimwits what they think.
>>
it's bad same as inflation. causes (((hoarding))) and lack of investment, since cash itself becomes the investment. this is what you see happening in china and why their economic problems are so bad right now. wages fall accordingly
>>
>>539331499
the reason why/how defines if it's bad but usually it is bad

It's bad for everyone. It means it makes sense to just hold cash and not build anything, not hire anyone, not invest in anything, not spend anything. It's a terrible thing for an economy. Inflation is the more strange one, you WANT a low but positive amount, most countries target 2%, to encourage people to do those things. In the long run, inflation is meaningless and long as the price of labor inflates as well since it's nominal, but in the short term it's painful.

If you owe money: inflation good; deflation bad.
If you're owed money: inflation bad; deflation good.

Deflation is basically the opposite of coin clipping at a national scale.
>>
>>539331499
Deflation is good for the average person who doesn't have infinite debt or all their money invested into stock
>>
>>539331499
Deflation benefits Jewish bankers more than inflation. Yes, it's bad.
>>
>>539331666
Why would you not want low deflation instead?

>>539331682
You know why, kike. But thanks.

>Your company makes less money because of deflation
>You get paid less
>then you get fired
wow thanks deflation. I'm exaggerating of course, everyone wants the things they consume to be cheaper but someone always pays the price. You want food to be cheap again, great now your farmers go bankrupt and sell their land to a data center. You want housing to be cheaper, now the builders cut corners your home won't ever go up in value. You want energy cheaper and everyone working in energy gets paid less or fired. Someone always wins and someone else loses.

Why is it everyone who is saying deflation is bad even after long periods of inflation (which we have had for decades) is jewish? Naturally deflation should follow after long periods of inflation that is natural for an economy to cycle like this yet it is deliberately being kept from happening to where the prices only go up but never down. Why do you never see a jewish person for deflation but they never see a problem with inflation?

deflation is good for working class people that are not in debt, bad for jews that live from infinite money creation
>>

Modern banking and finance, operates on a inflationary monetary model. So deflation would be bad within the context of this economic system, as everything is completely dependent on the idea that money decreases in value overtime. However, outside of this, in an economic system that is non-inflationary and operates with a moral and ethically monetary system, deflation would be a good thing. The idea that deflation will slow spending and investment is a completely absurd notion that's promoted by central banks; it ignores the fundamental of time preference. No one waits a month for the price of groceries to go down, when they need to eat now.

I'd agree that modest deflation is certainly better than hyperinflation (Weimar, Zimbabwe, etc), but in general due to the money multiplier effect and the marginal utility of a dollar, it is simply worse than inflation, percent for percent, because it is more destructive. I'll use housing as an example, if there is deflation (China's property market just wiped out 20 years of gains, everyone's savings are gone), you're not going to get a mortgage. Why would you? You can rent from some desperate sucker landlord for less. Now the loan officer makes less and spends less, so do the homebuilders, your property is worth less so property taxes are lower, so schools and police fire staff, so they spend less etc. See: Japan lost decades. I guess a case could be made for zero inflation or deflation as a target, since at that point people are still motivated to invest and hire and spend, but deflation is simply worse.

dunno about other countries but Bosnia definitely needs deflation, our Convertible Mark is directly pegged to the Euro in a 1 to 1.95 ratio
so a 1 EUR beer is 1 BAM even when imported and there are Croats that clog the border crossings trying to buy imported Croatian products
and for the peoples of Bosnia they cannot earn a proper paycheck and local businesses cannot compete so most look to finding employment abroad
I think it's a scheme to keep workforce in the EU since shitskins are useless employees and mostly on welfare unlike balkanites

Housing IS hyperinflated.
You should be able to buy a house after few years of work
Not 30 (50 now)
>>
You can also just observe China and see how fucked their people currently are because of it.

Depends
Deflating Zion Don's ego would be good for the whole world

This is not definition of deflation.
Deflation is the loss of monetary value of common money.

This is why the world economy is shit. Because it is ran by people who are fucking idiots and/or thieves who changed meaning of inflation and deflation so people will not see that they are stealing their money every day under inflation.
If people were taight truth that inflation is loss of stored monetary value due to enshittification of money (due to printing or clipping coins) then they would be angry. But if (((they))) change definition of inflation to "increase of prices" then common people will trhink that "evil capitalists and enterpeuers" are at fault for rising prices ot the (((government))) and their (((banking associates)))
>>

I fucked up should be
>"deflation is the raise of monetary value of common money"

>the economy!!!
fuck off to everyone itt that suckles at the teat of the (((economy))). If you grow your own food, own land with no debt then who gives a shit? People playing debt games thats who. There is no crying in the casino. Even more security if you are skilled at things that actually matter in the material world; carpentry, welding, agriculture, machining etc

Rising prices is currency losing value.
Dropping prices is currency gaining value.
There is no change in definition. They just expect you to ve literate enough to understand there is no distinction between the definition presented and the one you think should be used.

Currency gaining value (ie. Prices dropping) too fast causes a fuckload of problems, especially if you owe money because the money to pay off your debts is now harder to come by.

>If you grow your own food, own land with no debt then who gives a shit?
The NIMBYs and their HOAs (they're just jealous).
