Lifesaving treatments are given to you whether or not you can pay for them. This is why medical care is so expensive in this country. It's actually already socialized, has been for over a hundred years already. Hospitals don't really try to collect money from people who can't pay. They know it's a bad look, and a waste of their legal team's resources to harangue broke people for pennies. They just ask the feds to reimburse them (which is also a headache) and then jack up the price on the people who do have money for basic services. This is why a routine visit to a hospital costs thousands of dollars. Because you're also paying for all the poors who skipped out on their bill, socialist style.

The new process she received one time does not and was once covered by Medicare but now is not. Our family said ok we'll pay for her next infusion using the new process. Around $1500 dollars. The day of her last infusion they refused and gave her the old process and of course she ends up in the emergency room. Point being even if you agree to pay they will not treat without insurance. Now if you are an illegal or homeless healthcare is free.
I never ever pay attention if a service is covered or not. Unless you're having an extremely rare treatment everything is covered and even those treatments get covered if you really need them.Get eaten by a crocodile poofta
