You dont need some dull book where the author drones on and on you can have the gestalt/synthesised i formation distilled down to a few sentences or paragraph at most. Its like here and the /pol/ approved books, sure you can read Mein Kampf or Camp if the Saints but everything those books talk about are daily conversations here. It seems like such a waste of time, there are much more important things to focus on instead of reading 50+ year old books or greek philosophers when their big treatise is something you already account for because its basic knowledge now. Anytime I read a /pol/ book I skimmed it because its already shit that I learned from here, maybe a few passages are structured nicer than an anon post but the take away is all the same.

However, while not necessary, I think everyone should read or at least familiarize themselves with the original work so that they will know if they're being lied to, which is what really "reading it yourself" is for, to make sure the synopsis that are told to you are true and not lies perpetuated for someone else's gain.
