Republicans politicians and pundits know they exist purely for comedy yet they never break character. They are the ultimate straight man and they know it which is why Grindr use spikes at every convention. It is endearing that the Onion hasn't thrown in the towel, while they are making their little fake skits, picrel is happening at the White House. I think it is time for the left to get out of comedy, they've had a good run but it is clear they just don't have the commitment.
