Anytime I ask it to do anything, unless I'm extremely specific, it somehow always manages to find the only wrong interpretation of my request. Then as I correct it, it inevitably enters a state of psychosis.And for coding tasks, it struggles to perform tasks that would be effortless for a junior dev. And if you ask it to review your code, it only suggests extremely obvious minor "improvements". Similar to above, I have to walk through step-by-step to get it to "do" anything useful at all.The only luck I've had with AI is asking very pointed questions (how do I do X?), but Google and StackOverflow could do that 10 years ago before they got corrupted by SEO and spam.

>>539393453The current techbro business model is to find some thing already occurring and extract rent from it. One way to do that is to is to heavily subsidize the cost to the consumer and then, when you reach a certain level of adoption to turn around and crank up the price till you make money (Uber is is a really good example of this). Now that model relies on the consumer seeing value in the product. I believe it’s currently overhyped and underperforming as a tool. I also think there’s too much of a backlash currently for AI to be profitable, so we’re probably going to see the collapse of some of the bigger AI companies in the next few years.
