>>539399608From my understanding a residential could have more legit uses and if you're doing something bad it's easier to be tracked down since it's tied to one user compared to a shared IP which is used by all sorts of people to try and blend in. Using a shared ip also means sites you try to register on will have flagged the ip so you can't really do much other than browse (if you get in at all) and get past geographical restrictions. Very basic stuff. But somehow that's still the go to vpn provided by most companies and used by most people.
