I was recently looking into the Louisiana Gov. Huey Long (King Fish). He seems like a very unique person in history. He was an American Populist, like if Bernie Sanders and Trump were combined. He essentially had a semi "dictatorship" In Louisiana, where he made sure things got done his way.I feel like he really did care about the poor, he grew up in poverty. He built much needed infrastructure in Louisiana, made school books free for children, established night classes for illiterate to learn how to read, focused on reducing the income inequality.He had some elements of socialism in his policies, wealth redistribution. But was against the socialists, and they were against him. He also wasn't much of a fan of Democrats or Republicans. >>539404386I think, and I've never been really sure of this, but the idea would've been that Huey backs a third party in '36, and tries to split the vote enough to cost FDR the election, or have it thrown to the House. Then Huey would run against FDR in the 1940 primary. Or perhaps he would run for President in '36 with Coughlin/Townsend/L.K Smith, but I'm not so sure.
