AI and AI mixed with robotics gonna replace jobs in mass, breaking the economy if nobody have money to buy things. The productivity gains will be huge, so all companies can afford to pay, for example, 80% of their revenue just to keep the consumption alive, while also stay competitive. It's not socialism, it's techno-feudalism. Elon Musk say AI will be so productive that it will make UBI so high to the point of give us tens of thousands of dollars.
If it reaches the point where they have to pay us to live that means that we are just consuming resources for no reason. They would just as soon try to kill us.
