It shouldn't be legal to make money by betting against a company. Either you buy the stock because you believe in it, or you stay out if you don't. Nobody should have a profit motive to make publicly traded companies fail.

SpaceX is going to keep falling though. The shares unlock in tranches. Only 5% of shares are trading right now. Next month another 20% gets unlocked, so there'll be another big selloff. Then another 30% at the end of October, then in December the rest of them aside from Musk's shares unlock. Musk's shares don't unlock until this time next year.
