I walked into a $400k house owned by a Mexican family and flipped on the lightswitch in the kitchen and saw maybe 300 cockaroaches scatter. They just lived with them crawling over their dishes and shit. Insane.

I prefer taking bugs outside alive... and almost always do. I don't like mosquitoes so... for them it's a gamble. The ones that wonder into dangerous human environments are factored into their reproductive numbers. No human should waste time trying to save a couple of dead plant roaches a month, just make the environment harder for these roaches to wonder into. A similar useless and potentially harmful effort in human to human interactions is assisting an entire group of outsiders because 20% are 'good'.
