The Korean won is also collapsing for similar reason to the yen carry trade. Besides Samsung and hynix never convert they dollars back to won and instead investing in gloablal operations, korean investors convert their won to dollars to invest elsewhere after profiting from samsung and hynix growth leading to a downward spiral of the won.
