It was a different time, and also those games were fucking awesome because it was before esports idiocy ruined so many RTS games.Says a whole lot that 20 years on everybody can remember unit/general lines so well. Using nuke MiGs was so much fun. They tried to bring back a game like Generals but the shareholders and the like of course fucked it up with microtransactions and other shit and it died in development.
I was in Army basic training in 2003 and even back then it was the consensus that the US would be at war with China before 2050.
