It's unclear what mutts actually achieved in Venezuala beyond abducting a latino bus driver, the socialist regime is still very much there.
The only real change seems to be that mutts basicly lifted sanctions on Venezualan oil, which something Maduro desperately wanted.

>>539459831
The latter likely. Other than that having the ability to close the siphon for tankers fuel source is just simply to juicy. Maduro didn't help himself by saying he wanted Guyana since you can technically mix oil types to get something more usable.

Also the only reason why Saddam wasn't allowed to keep Kuwait was that he wanted to trade oil in gold. At the time it wasn't going to happen and frankly never will. He would've had in the 1990's 40% of OPEC's oil production so trading in gold would've been a market/mining vacuum.

Please make it make sense. At this rate, our entire economy will quite literally collapse by the end of the summer, we don't even have to wait for late autumn of winter. There's simply not enough fuel on the market right now in EE and there's nowhere else to get it at this point.

The Strategic Goy-Oil Reserve is reaching a level where if they keep drawing at the same pace they are then it could collapse the caverns and wipe out the remaining reserve. Nobody knows the exact tipping point as the fucking Burgers just pumped oil and water into a series of caves instead of a proper storage system as it was a temporary measure but like all things Murrican after WW2 it just became a hollowed out scam.

I wish electric heating was actually efficient cost wise and reliability wise. I have heard of heat pumps being a direct downgrade from gas or oil heaters.

Also if you use wood stoves you need an assload of wood and someone to tend it. You can't just let it die with modern plumbing.

The entire point of my post is that any estimate is guesswork. The caverns were not extensively planned and surveyed before the filling of the reserve, have been abused by several Presidents before and were supposed to be decommissioned many years ago. They could collapse literally as we are speaking right now. Likely they will hold as this world we live in continues to be the Stupid Quantum Survivor timeline where everything is fake and gay and nothing happens but my entire point is that your estimate and any estimate you hear is pulled out of someone's ass.
>>
>>539460552
Whatever he may say, we will have the last laugh because the jig is up. But now, in addition to the oil price going crazy, he will also have to respond to Iran blowing up more ships yesterday AND the Houthis setting two tankers on fire (he threatened them just the day before). So how is he going to balance the TACO with these events?

Do your own homework fat fuck. There is a reason that the entire planet is switching to heat pumps instead of burning fossil fuels for heat. If you have access to free/cheap wood then a fireplace is the way to go, otherwise everyone uses heat pumps because the energy efficiency metric is excellent.

The Finn said "around 20 weeks" you fucking moron. That (((estimate))) does not factor in the state of the caverns or the water-oil balance which have been abused several times and no one knows their full state, making any such estimate based on faulty information. > When the U.S. Government decided to create the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in the mid-1970s, it acquired previously created salt caverns to store the first 250 million barrels of crude oil. This was the most rapid way to begin securing an emergency supply of crude oil following the oil shocks of the 1970s. To stockpile oil beyond the first 250 million barrels, the Department of Energy created additional caverns.

Salt caverns are carved out of underground salt domes by a process called "solution mining." Essentially, the process involves drilling a well into a salt formation, then injecting massive amounts of fresh water. The water dissolves the salt. In creating the SPR caverns, the dissolved salt was removed as brine and either reinjected into disposal wells or more commonly, piped several miles offshore into the Gulf of America. By carefully controlling the freshwater injection process, salt caverns of very precise dimensions can be created. For every barrel of crude oil to be stored in the SPR’s caverns, it takes approximately seven barrels of raw water to create the storage space.

But it makes perfect sense, what can I tell you. It's not a continent problem. Many smaller and poorer countries in Asia also experiencing what you're going through, and probably worse for some of them.
It may seem unfair, but this is what happens when unfortunately you're a poorer country with less foreign investments and assets. I mean, we obviously don't have oil in France, but we invested in oil in other countries and own parts of many oil fields. It had a cost. It's investment. Now it's paying back. Same for our investments in nuclear, which happened right after the US backstabbed us during the Suez crisis, coincidentally.
If you don't do what's needed to invest in your future, this is what happens. Of course it helps if you have money to do that, but either way, it's always possible to do something. Especially now that oil can be avoided thanks to technological advancements, which was not the case in the 70's.
Either way those are temporary measure that can be absorbed right now, but if oil goes to 150 or 200, no matter how much we prepared, we won't escape the great depression that will inevitably come for everyone.

I've lost quite a bit of respect for China since this conflict started. I always unapologetically defended China and Xi Jinping, thinking they were based.
Then they showed how they've fumbled such a golden opportunity to weaken their enemy and supply their allies and yet they do nothing, while their allies slowly get taken out and they get surrounded. They couldn't even gather the courage to invade Taiwan while the US is distracted. Also, they banned AI companions so fuck them for that.

I do agree with you, but what doesn't make sense to me is the fact that Romania actually extracts its own petrol, we have a shit load of hydro-plants built during the commie era, we have a functioning nuclear plant, massive "green" solar fields and whatnot, yet we have the highest price on energy in Europe and one of the highest price on fuel on the continent. >Hurr Durr Chynah should have killed the global economy even faster and rushed to strike Taiwan
This is why you are some random Bangladeshi shitposter and not an advisor to Xi. The best play for China is a slow decline of the West that the Chinese can (and are actively) point to and say:
"Look at those fucking retards shitting themselves, you may not like us but you can count on us". Instead you want them to kneecap the global economy which would harm most of their customers as well as send the West scrambling to counter them like a cornered animal and then bum rush Taiwan which would explode the price of anything with a chip in it before the Chinese equivalents are competitive enough to replace their Taiwanese counterparts and sink China in a stupid quagmire just as Russia did with Ukraine and the US did with Iran.

TL;DR: "Do Nothing. Win." remains China's best bet and they are betting smart.

Unchanged planting. Harvest season however is where everyone is concerned.

https://marketswatchers.com/2025/12/23/russias-wheat-planting-area-shrinks-for-2026-as-profitability-declines/
Downward trend in planting area
SovEcon expects a continued downward trend in the planting area dedicated to spring wheat cultivation.

The firm is forecasting that the planted area for next year will be approximately 10.7 million hectares.

This figure represents a noticeable contraction when viewed against the recent historical data.

In the immediate prior season, the spring wheat area stood at 11.1 million hectares, and the season before that saw a significantly larger area of 12.3 million hectares.

This consistent reduction, from 12.3 million to 11.1 million and now a forecasted 10.7 million hectares, suggests a structural shift or response to prevailing market and agricultural conditions that are disincentivising the cultivation of spring wheat among producers.

Factors contributing to this decline could include changing weather patterns impacting planting success, shifts in profitability relative to competing crops, or governmental agricultural policy adjustments.

Unfortunately -at least for oil- even though you produce some, it's still only 1/3rd of your consumption. You still need to import 70% of it. Meaning you will suffer (much like we will) from international oil prices.
And many burgers think they are self-sufficient, but they still need to import 1/3rd of their oil, so they will also suffer to some extent.
Now it COULD help a little bit if your local producers decided to make it like TotalEnergies and take a profit hit to price cap your oil a bit, but that's up to your oil companies. I don't know whether they run fully private or if your government have high shares stakes in them. If your state has stakes in them, then it could put pressure on them. If not, like Total is (running fully private), then it's up to the willingness of the company.

You seem to think that if China supplies weapons to Iran, the West will consider China their enemy. That China wants to appear "less threatening". Yet, the West already considers China their enemy. They do everything in their power to confront and degrade China. They are already taking out China's allies one by one, Chinese brands are being banned in Europe and USA, and their factories are also occassionally being seized.
This was China's golden opportunity to build rapport with Iran and global south Muslim countries, by supplying the only country ballsy enough to stand up to Jews and amerimutts. Yet, they are too afraid of offending whitoids to do shit.
>The Chinese just engaged in oil demand destruction on a massive scale never before seen in human history and not a fucking word of it leaked out or resulted in a crisis.
and how has that helped China? It did nothing to make Europe and US any less hostile to them. They also didn't remove the tariffs on Chinese EVs, solar and other products that would help them reduce dependency from oil. China is hurting themselves in an effort to save people who would stab them the moment Iran loses and China's western flank is compromised.

It's possible they'll return to a crude oil export ban like the one before 2015. With any other president, I'd say that would be a propaganda disaster after all the drill, baby, drill. But trump's fangirls will accept it without batting an eye.
Economically, it probably wouldn't make much of a difference. Despite their high production, they import a lot of crude oil, and these imports would then become more expensive. Furthermore, domestic production would decline due to unprofitability. At that point, nationalization would probably be more sensible than an export ban.

You do not have a single fucking right idea about how all of this is working and should really shut the fuck up talking about things beyond your comprehension. There was a time when the West could have united and countered China, but instead the US elected Trump and instead of competently leading such a coalition the US antagonized its allies at the worst point. MIGA retards (and you apparently) think that because Trump talks a big game about China that he isn't the biggest gift they have received in decades. All major US allies are negotiating with China behind the US's back or out in the open because the old post Cold War order is fucking dead and the only people who seem to have a plan that isn't "Build the Third Temple and Pray to Moloch as you fire off Nukes".

>and how has that helped China?
The global economy didn't seize to a halt and their customers (i.e. how they make money and fuel their ambitions) didn't stop buying from them as they try to stave off existential crisis.

Constitutional Court decided to cancel the second round of the presidential election because the CC admitted that some correspondence votes were counted illegally. The candidates who ran - Van der Bellen vs Hofer - had to run again in the second round, which was won both times by Van der Bellen. Other than shoring up oil futures the ceasefires was calculated so the US can target the missile launchers. I haven't seen any defintive proof of what Iran is sending out right now but it seems to be entirely Shasneeds from now on. If the US is actually using aircraft again to target then that means we also knocked out a good portion of their AA/Radar systems.

The drones they got clearly are punching above their weight

I would still classify this as stalemate with an edge towards iran since they are causing economic damage.
