>>539458968There’s an extent to which we would let them call our bluff. Nukes aren’t going to fly over a little invasion of an irrelevant country like Finland, no matter what the NATO treaty says. It would start WW3 maneuverung but it wouldn’t involve heavy direct conflict yet. But if they test us too far we’d be sending the black projects to obliterate them overnight, nukes and worse. So there’s a line they can toe but it would be a terrible idea, even if we don’t nuke them. Simply starting a low grade world war alone is suicidal.
