Pete Hegseth is wrong. He's wrong about where it all comes from. He is. The Department of War, evidently, is now.. what?.. talking publicly about turning the US Army soldier into Jose Canseco? or Lance Armstrong? That's crazy. Nobody wants a USMIL full of people who are more impulsive than they otherwise might have been.. Now, if they want to have some units set aside to study over the counter products for use in our USMIL, I'm sure that's fine.. People have used ratios of Pregnenolone to DHEA for a long time now.. Those ratios are derived from a lot of the same tests that Hegseth says he wants.. This is where they'd measure the relationship between cortisol and DHEA over the course of a day, for many days, weeks or months, which is how it can fit into a unit also. But the idea now, of just saying hey we want to see who has the most testosterone, or the most free testosterone in their blood.. That's for a Neanderthal military. Impulsive people, who fuck themselves over, and all their friends too, because of that impulse.. He would be better off studying the mentality that says; No, you will not fuck with me in this way man.. No, I will not use your stupid fucking drugs today.. And it was paradoxical, wasn't it?.. That they're searching for what's optimal at the cellular level, for the US Army soldier; and it ends being the guy who says no to their drugs, that they ought to have studied. Funny how that works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UukbSFsLQM4
