Ziggers knew this was coming because they changed the insurance policy for those warehouses and left average puccians holding the bags. Now, since I doubt that wildberries and the rest of the russian temu cast have a private intelligence agency, my guess is that the state intelligence apparatus warned them and said "not much we can do about this". If the autocratic regime can't stop comically slow drones from dismantling their economy, what can regular (millionaires, but in the context of Russia still regular people) do?
Warehouses exist because they are part of optimizing logistics. You can't optimize for being droned. Well, you can, but it's in the diametrically opposed direction i.e. you can't gather tons of dildos in one place in order to make shipping cheaper which in essence means you can't operate that business model anymore.

Hey anons, 3-4 days ago I read some super interesting economic analyses of Russia's bond issues and such, I was wondering if some of you could chime in and explain what Wilberry's distribution network collapse could entail, for small business and such ? My understanding is that borrowing right now is difficult for small business so third party resellers will likely not survive the WB shenanigans right ? But are there industries that rely on WB for distribution for example ? Or is it just like amazon warehouses and exclusively for small individuals businesses ? Thanks anons and TZD
>>
>>539520122
Their current solution is to get private companies to form their own AD units and to buy equipment straight from the MoD. So Wildberries would hire mercs to shoot drowns down with rifles or machine guns bought from Belousov. What could possibly go wrong?

It was here, honestly I couldn't be arsed to find the exact post, there was a graph attached but I only have the text

>What next for bonds? The last time the government was able to issue 100B worth of long dated bonds was on the 20th of May. There were small trickles in June and now in July, which is Q3 and H2, nothing after 3 auction days. They only managed to eke out 10B of short dated shitters on the 1st and that's the sum of their H2 borrowing. When fixed rate bonds can't be sold, there's pressure on the government to sell floating rate bonds which obviously have dangerously expensive interest costs. But if the government wants money now, that's what they have to commit to.

>Yesterday they offered ~120B worth of floating rate bonds and couldn't sell any of them which is a stunning result. If you scan the archives of .ru media, the last time they failed to sell floating rate bonds was November 2024 when there was a mini banking crisis underway following Biden's sanctions on Russian clearing which routed the rubble at the time. Nabiullina had also simultaneously raised rates to 21% with ominous threats to keep raising. This time there are no new big sanctions and rates are nominally much lower so credit should be cheaper. But no one wants to buy russian government debt.

>A generous estimate of what they likely need to borrow for the rest of H2 is ~5T. They realistically need more but let's assume their financials are soothed by expensive oil somehow. There are 20 or so auction days left in the year. So each weekly auction day should average 400B. But taking Q3 numbers, it's just 3.3B, or less than 1%.

I'm just always surprised when I see actual interesting analyses on /pol/
>>
>>539519148
The problem with drones is they can't penetrate hard targets because their warheads are very light.
They are very effective against soft targets like refineries and warehouses but they can't take down a concrete building for example.
They wouldn't do much against a harbor for example.

Destroying WB warehouses probably won't make a real different on the battlefield (although soldiers were ordering body armor and other equipment through WB).
But it makes the average Russian feel the war so they might protest against it.

Eh, while it might be funny, but from what I know there is not really anything valuable in the buildings themselves and the vaults are literally designed to last pretty much everything.
In fact, it is probably best to let banks function at full capacity as bankrun is an ongoing thing, and getting bombed would give them an excuse to stop withdrawals (not that they need one, but yeah)
>>
>>539520447
My impression is that it's like alibaba or Amazon; convenient storage and distribution but not the only way to do business. It's unlikely to wipe out some segment of the economy that everyone was relying on.
It reduces Russian soldiers access to armor, drone components and other useful equipment which was sold and shipped from there.
Russian employment and wage growth is high so people can reliably find work after they lost their business or side hustle, but this all adds to inflation and pushes the cost of war onto the average person.

They maxxed out bond selling; there are no more interested buyers. Even at a ridiculous rate of 17% interest, this was still their best method of getting liquid capital.the debt and inflation from these bonds will hit later, not now. Which was “optimal” for Russia at this point in the war. What’s next is cannibalizing parts of the economy, cutting flesh off your limbs and eating it to stay alive. Things like selling off state assets, nationalizing private capital, and forced bond purchases. The latter two choices aren’t really an option since anyone who had any money in Russia has already moved it to Cyprus or bought crypto and hid the USB it’s on up their ass.

My guess is they’ll sell state company assets to chinks pennies on the dollar. I can’t think of anything else they have left that is remotely feasible

There is a slight issue with selling state assets to foreigners that Russia has proven themselves to be fully willing to nationalize foreign assets.

Who knows - active defense is quite hard to pull out due to how many units need to be in concert with one another - it work in Dobropyla with the snail getting clipped, but that was localized action.
>What's even left for monke after that happens?
More doubling down - the tzar cannot look week, or the boyars might throw him out the window. As long as the war keeps going, the money-printing can go on and economic collapse could be postponed. That's what's funny about war economies - the GDP number look real nice, but cannibalize the private sector. And then one day the war end and there's nothing left to fall back on to.

We're still talking about a country which keeps putting the communist party in the second place every election.
The economic aspect might be important to a westerner such as yourself, but it's less than an afterthought for the majority of puccian society. To the siloviki ruling caste those enterprises existed by their grace; god giveth and god taketh away, which is why Putin's attitude to literally stealing their money is so blase. The rank and file puccian cares about as much for those bankrupt businessmen as he does for his drunk cousin killing himself in a trench cause a drone mangled his legs. The QoL loss is much more important here.

I used to manage the network of a small regional bank here, it was small and unimportant in the bigger picture.
Banks, at least properly set up ones, have a couple of backups of their server structure, depending on the size, they will be in different sites and the machinery is kept underground, you'll need bunker busters to reach it, in the EU, they are required to have multiple different ISPs if they want to grow over a certain size, to ensure that the HQ is reachable even if one of the ISPs has an issue and is sent offline.
Knocking a bank out of the network completely isn't as simple as it sounds, they have backups on top of backups.
It might be simpler to go for the ISPs directly.
>>
>>539521969

Their mass mobilisation of a benzine free mass of drunken untrained brooming inspired civilians, one in ten dressed in a uniform because Russias’ kit mostly came from Wildberries and the rest of the mass just having to dress in green civilian clothes, three stripe track suits died to make the wearer resemble kermitski the knock off frog?
How terrifying.
We are in year 5. The pro army is long since 100% dead. The navy and air force are likewise gone and ineffective. If russia could do any better than it is currently doing then it would already be doing it, but it can’t. A huge number of untrained, ununiformed civilians walking slowly in a disorganised rabble in the rough direction of Ukraine on foot impelled by a looming gangsta-monkey and a big man with a broom handle ain’t gonna do shit except make me laugh.
Because since pre-boomer days Russia or rather the USSR was glazed in FICTION in novels and in films these cranks like the chug bunnies are high on their own farts over media dreams. They are lying and choosing to believe the lies that they enjoy over reality.
>It just don’t be like what it do
But all that stuff is just crap. Crap, lies, fiction isn’t tanks, missiles, trained & equipped warriors. It’s just a turd.
And that’s without factoring in russian leadership which lets face it has proven to be abysmally bad. This mass of green track suited untrained smack heads and lip filler engineers would only end up being led by the same corrupt people who have just got the pro military forces all wiped out.
I wish a mother fucker would I really do because it would end this whole thing on a total ukraine victory.
And it would be SO funny.

I'm talking about the economic hit only. These aren't small numbers. I saw $5.3bn losses and I think that's BEFORE today's barbecue. (Might be wrong)
That's a big number and the wildberry campaign is only started.
All those 'petit bourgeois' as you call them are all operating on credit.
That entire credit sector financing purchases from china to sell in wildberrys has just ground to a halt.
On top of that, existing loans are all defaulting at the same time.
It's a catastrophe.
Plus the parent enterprise wildberrys is finished as an ongoing concern if Ukraine sees through the bingo card.... (They will)
Thousands of wildberry workers are about to lose their jobs on top.
The economic knock on in Russia is going to be enormous as it snowballs.
All those 'petit bourgeois' range rovers and Bentley's are about to be repossessed.

Putin is not Stalin.
Stalin was total, Stalin told you how to work, how to sleep, how to fuck, he literally made a new calendar (the Union quit it after a bit, but still). His government was absolute and every citizen was expected to deeply care and participate, or else.
Putin is the CEO of Russia Inc. He's not in any way total. His ideology is that everyone in Russia should mind their own business - the taxi driver should drive, and Putin should rule. When the taxi driver has opinions on politics, he's being rude, that's Putin's job. Putin isn't telling him how to drive, why is the driver telling Putin how to rule?
Putin's government created that political culture of depoliticization, that russians should not talk politics, should mind their own business, should not form parties or protests or anything like that. Now he is slowly trying to change it, because you can't have military mobilization without political mobilization, but even today you can see russians on social media being shocked and surprised that they are negatively affected by the war. When a drone hits their property, they ask "why me? its putin's war! hit putin, not me, i dindu nuffin!". Nobody would think that way under Stalin.

So no, Putin isn't bringing communism back. Putin is a neoliberal forced into "wartame socialism" like Churchil was, and he will drop it as soon as he can.

Because of lost territories, not because of lost socialism.
Again, Putin quotes Churchil on this: If you don't miss the USSR, you have no heart; if you want it back, you have no brain.
Putin is much more aesthetically and doctrinally close to the tzars than to Stalin. But he is much much closer to chinese presidents before Xi. In fact, between 2000 and 2009 or so, Putin was basically a corporate tech CEO like Jiang Zemin. That's when most of the love for him in the west started.

how many key towns did Russia take already. I mean yeah, it would be the last fortified place all the way to Portugal if Ukrainians didn't have months to dig in the next village/town over. Three years ago it was Bakhmut, nobody was talking about Konstantinivka. Then it was Toretsk and Chasiv Yar two years ago. Tomorrow it's gonna be another village and another ridge and another town. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that Russians won't reach Kramatorsk outskirts by the end of 2027.

Operations die down during winter since there isn't enough armor to go around for winter pushes anymore. Offensives can really only happen during the summer now since IR on drones are so good that you have to counteract body heat with background heat. During winter you stick out like crazy even with foliage.

I think meatwaves and mobilization would get putin another city. At the moment Ukraine can just about kill as many men as Russia recruits for replacement. A mobilization wave would take time to grind down, and in that time they could overrun their target.
It's a hard problem for Ukraine as they are still quite low on infantry headcount to hold ground. They'll need to come up with a strategy which changes the calculus.

>the manpower advantage
Russian as per tradition, have to conentrate their manpower, it can't be spread out too much for these two surprising reasons:
1. barrier troops wouldn't work, if the front is too spread out they can't watch clearly what happens, and surrenders / desertions increase
2. one guy advances, when he dies the next one picks up the gun - this tactic depends on several guys attacking in the same section
>>
>>539523947
Hitting the mobilised before they can get to the front.
They have to gather somewhere.
Switch the medium and long range drone strikes to barracks and training/transport.
Smash them as they gather.

No, its not.
European Union takes out a loan from European banks. That loan is backed by russian assets. That loan has to be paid back by Ukraine.
So if Ukraine can't pay it, that's when the russian assets are siezed by the EU, to sell, to pay it back to the EU banks.

This is the most likely outcome: apartments and stocks and cash and boats that are already in Europe, and owned by Russians, are auctioned so that European banks can get their money.

i think so
i dont watch any of those ppl, but the obv ones like candace and tucker being pro-rus, and levin being pro ukr is correct
if im being honest i cant actually remember who laura ingraham even is. and sean hannity, i havent seen in literal years. even my ageing boomer father switched to levin a couple years ago

in general, the don seems a lot more rosy on keeping this war up and running tho, esp now with russia directly interfering with the operation in iran by providing targeting data. all the attempts at talks last year? seem to have dried up. prolly for good. i just dont think were gonna see any more silver platters for putler anytime soon. the don was just naive and thought he could give putler a gud deal and hed just take it. as if this was some real estate deal. and i guess it kinda IS a real estate deal, but not in the traditional "i give money and buy a house". more the military occupation kind

westerners have been making this same mistake all the time, trump is only one of many. They assume that russia is a normal country that can be reasoned with, that ultimately they function same as them and understand the same rational arguments. While truth is, they are a Mongolian horde stuck in the Middle Ages and will gladly screw themselves up for generations if that means saving their face or causing more mysery to those around them. You can't negotiate a fair deal with them because they can't comprehend what a fair deal even is.

Strongly disagree. They are just defeated from the Cold War, and Putin molded them into serfdom again. Russians are indifferent, nihilistic, depoliticized, while a mongol horde is the oppite.
It is exactly becasue the russian people don't identify with the russian state and russian foreign policy that Putin is able to hold on to power after fucking up the war so badly. If russians did feel like stakeholders in the russian state, they would've replaced him already.

rn, in general, the overwhelming majority of US citizens are either neutral or explicitly pro-ukr. we also have a lot of actual ukro diaspora, in places like the rustbelt, so those places are obv very much pro-ukr.
ppl being openly pro-rus is very very fringe and ive almost never seen it irl. you see it online, but at that point its not clear if its just ivan sockpuppeting. but there certainly are retards who take candace owens braindead takes with the utmost of seriousness. theyre just an extreme minority. same thing with tucker. tucker rly has taken a dive in popularity since going indie then going full death to america. he used to be the boomer dinnertable talk every night when he had his old show on. now almost no one talks about him

as for the administration itself, again, i think the don wanted to try diplomacy, and now that thats obv not happening, hes decided that the war will continue until its over. and so instead of constantly b8ing media into running "US is leaving NATO" headlines. hes instead been going around doing shit to rageb8 putler, like arming the everloving christ out of turkey. im CERTAIN putins not thrilled on any of that.
rubio is the guy to watch imo. hes always been more neutral, even when the don wasnt. and now? hes pro-ukr, pro-NATO, and as far as i can tell, hes the one calling a lot of shots rn in regards to wars/foreign policy (cuz its prolly not hegseth, lets be real lol)

all subject to change, of course. but thats about where shit is at over here

>>539524857
at the very least i dont think it was a bad thing to try. no one even bothered for the 3 or so yrs prior. i remember when the talks were happening, half of this thread was wigging out. but fact is, this time last year, things looked rly fucking bad, and it didnt seem like either side had the ability to win militarily. so in that sense diplomacy was absolutely worth a shot.

but yea. its russia. its just not a reasonable place

German politicians on national level are extremely useless when it comes to propping up their own companies. Just one look at Merz's permanently fearful face makes capital flee.
