I keep seeing threads about the homeless where you guys think people just decide to be there by "choice" as if people pick addiction and all the other issues by choice. No dudes. It's not laziness "I just don't want to work" or "I just want drugs" getting people on the streets. It's extreme levels of trauma, usually in the form of physical injuries causing trauma pain and other issues, and diseases and things like that which gets a lot of people on the streets. A lot of times homelessness begins with something like an injury to the spine or what have you. A lot of these people are also extremely hard if not impossible to help and have given up hope. It's why they'll never get off drugs or get off the streets. They can't even work when they want to. A lot of the shit they do to maintain their existence is really stressful shit compared to just getting a normal job. Some are also criminals who can't get hired anywhere because of their criminality and they have a seriously bad personality and just become a pariah. Anyways the main point is: these aren't unemployed lazy people who you can just offer a job. They're deeply dysfunctional, traumatized, dysgenic, etc. individuals who either can't be fixed or it's too expensive and too high effort to fix them. Normal people when they do drugs yeah it's addictive but they have supports, they have all kinds of things to get off of it, and many people have tried all manner of drugs and never become hobos. If you add in chronic pain, really bad relationships, ptsd, losing family and friends that could have helped you out, isolation, shit genetics, being ugly, being sleep deprived constantly with all that brings like making mistakes, forgetting things, etc. and various infections and so on, getting robbed repeatedly, experiences of betrayal or being violated causing trust issues, etc. all kinds of shit happens to people to the point they give up.

I'll talk solutions next post.

Sounds like there's only one solution...the final solution.

So the real solution to help the homeless is first of all when you see one begging actually sit down with him and talk for a good long while, an hour or more if needed, and learn about everything they are struggling with. Try to inquire into each area of their life like spirituality, relations, health, all of it cover all the bases like you would do in IFS therapy or similar. Get them to tell you the pros and cons of everything they use and do, then you can teach them ways to get the pros without the cons. You need an absolute fuckload of knowledge on psychology, neurology, diet, genetics, drugs, etc. many different fields to help identify and address the various issues... and even then they're often trapped in situations where they're just plain fucked. Some may have huge debts, some may be wanted, but most of them are actually really badly injured and coping hard with it. Some are too old and can't live the life they wanted. Almost all of them hate themselves too.

A lot of the time you'll just learn exactly why they're in the situation they're in and perhaps pity them.

A lot of these people not even the government intervention could actually help. Russia actually has pretty much the best idea in just using them as cannon fodder. MAID could also be good as an alternative to just sending these people to war. If you're using them as cannon fodder you can just calculate the costs they incur on society and instead offer them that if they survive war.

Most homeless are the way they are because they are just fucked. There's always people who will have to couch surf a little while or be out of work for a few months but I'm not talking about those people, I'm talking about the ones you see on the streets for years. There isn't even a good life for them if they get off of drugs and get into a home, they just suffer anyways.

We really need to keep advancing our medical knowledge and capabilities and practice eugenics more and just cull most of the homeless.

As for things that can help the homeless:

1. Psychedelics are enormously helpful enhancers of psychology. Combine psychology with psychedelics and you get results in a mere month that could take years to accomplish otherwise. Psychedelics are serious accelerators for personal growth, changing habits, changing personalities, gaining insight, and overcoming trauma.
2. Proper balance in life of all the various spheres of need like need for relationships/connection, need for spirituality/philosophy, need for proper diet/exercise, etc.
3. Fixing their breathing. People seriously overlook this but breath is what regulates emotion and many homeless all have a deviated septum or other issues with their breathing.
4. Swimming is extremely helpful for recovery and is particularly recommended for the old and injured and it also gets a lot of toxins out faster accelerating recovery from withdrawals.
5. Removing them from their degenerate social circles at least for a year so they don't relapse.
6. Going through all the step-by-step processes in helping them regulate their nervous systems and access various regions of their brain, getting them out of the chronic fight-or-flight mode, using co-regulation and other means to help calm the nervous system.
7. Acupuncture, massage, physio, chiro, all that shit is often needed.

Almost none of this means shit though if they have chronic injury. Unfortunately chronic injuries are rarely ever treated and it's mostly the Orient that has a lot of knowledge about this, the Occident doesn't have much care or knowledge about it. Here in the Occident a chronic injury is just a chance for big pharma to profit off of someone's never ending misery.

Yes basically. Unless we find ways to fix broken spines and other fucked up injuries these people have, they are going to live the rest of their lives needing drugs, and not having a chance at ever doing anything but suffering.

It's really rare for a street person to not have something like a broken shoulder, a broken ribs, a broken nose (that one can be fixed though), broken hip, broken spine, etc.

...and it's expensive and time consuming usually to fix these people although like I mentioned before there's accelerants such as psychedelics.

There's also people who can do stuff like project their own energy into someone and heal them, reiki guys for example, but they're so extremely rare.

The problem is there's too many homeless and we just don't have the resources or the people to help them. So it's much easier to either ignore the problem, profit from the problem, use them as pawns in stupid political things like trying to lower real estate value somewhere so the place can be bought up then ship the hobos to another spot, etc.

I say just send most of them off to war or to monasteries.

Don't care. The very first time you choose to use drugs, you are responsible for everything that happens as a consequence. Fuck the homeless.
>>
>>539519761
Do you realize how many fentanyl addicts are just people who were in the hospital and given fentanyl by the doctors and became addicted?

Do you take into account what would drive a person to start using drugs in the first place?

I don't believe they are responsible because I don't believe in free will bullshit.

I think your way of looking at is naive and stupid. You should instead look at them as people who are just fucked, fuck by circumstances they never choose.

I've known people who've done every kind of drug and then stopped and they're remained functional and fine; and it's because before the drugs they were fine.

It's the people who are constantly suffering from their injuries and such, who can't work even if they wanted to, who can't sleep proper, who are always tense and in pain, you then add drugs on top of that and it's just a cope for them to temporarily escape the hell they're trapped in. It's these people who even when they are sober they are insufferable that are fucked.

Here's what I'd do:

>highly money motivated ones
Send them to the military, most military guys are constantly on drugs anyways.

>highly suicidal ones
Just help them die.

>spiritually depressed ones
Discuss philosophy with them, help them achieve enlightenment.

>very criminal ones
Just fucking kill them all or dump them onto Israel or some other nation we don't like or if they're intelligent criminals turn them into glowniggers.

>ones that just want to self-isolate because they're misanthropes due to bad experiences with humans
Just leave them alone in the woods living off of the land, you never see them anyways unless you venture out there.

>ones that can actually be helped and it's not even crazy expensive or hard
Just help them but these aren't the trouble people anyways, these are just "your friend who lost his job and needs a place to crash for a month before he gets another one".

I guess nobody really wants to think about and engage with this topic seriously.

> homelessness has nothing to do with being forced to be on an infinity wage slave treadmill unless you choose to become an infinite wage slave treadmill enslaver
>>
>>539520629
I didn’t read most of it but I liked the parts I did. It’s obviously glowies or just retards that think people can just pull themselves up by the bootstraps or what not. We already have the tech and materials and means to house everyone properly but the good guys obviously aren’t in charge. So not much we can do.

no you're full of shit
i lived for months in a homeless shelter, and while some of them are people with severe schizophrenia or other ailments which were unchosen, most of them were just jailbirds that loved the lifestyle of being catered to while doing drugs and committing crime. almost nobody was grateful or appreciative for anything, and the staff were constantly abused and threatened over nothing.
and then the ones in camps are a different breed altogether. these are the ones who are so evil that not even low barrier shelters will allow them anymore. again, i've stayed in one, and people openly smoke crack, meth, etc inside the building. the floors are crunchy with broken pipes all over. i saw someone assault someone with a lock in a sock in their sleep, and even then wasn't kicked out. so you have to be pretty bad to get kicked out of there.
so these camp guys are essentially aspd, sociopaths. they will never change, they will be this way until they die. they love their lives and think they are super cool. unbelievable levels of narcissism and psychopathy at play. they think you're a sucker if you help them or give them sympathy.
these are the lumpenproletariat, incompatible with civilization if not hostile to its very existence.

I'm not reading all this shit. Most homeless I know are low IQ entitled fucks mad at the world they can't do whatever they want. Other people being better off fills them with rage, I would even wonder if they were given a million $ per year if they'd be mad they didn't get a billion. The drugs are to cope with this entitlement/extreme jealousy.

holy fuck, this
>>
sad truth is that people, more often than not, are where they deserve to be
>>
>>539518973
Not true
a percentage of people will be homeless for the reasons you stated, they just can't be helped, this is the type of people who can't even use welfare properly so even systems who are meant to help them can't, they always existed throughout history
but we've being seeing an increase to homeless people in the last few years
This either means that normal people are becoming homeless for some reason
or that normal people are turning into dysgentic hopeless drug subhuman freaks
in either case, something is happening and is bad
>>
I interact with the homeless on a semi-regular basis.

Some of them are fried from the drugs, ODs, and heat. It’s not easy to deal with the various nutrient deficiencies, long term diseases that “civilized” people never get, and a litany of other issues.

In some regions it can be very abusive on the body, just raw exposure to the elements with a handful of creature comforts. In cold regions you’ll see people who have lost extremities to frostbite. In extremely hot regions you’ll see people who have clearly dealt with heat strokes, typically more than one.

All of these things dramatically erode one’s ability to engage with a civilized life.

A drug can offer a temporary respite from what is a profoundly miserable existence.

Some of these people would take years of recovery, others may never do so due to the neurological symptoms associated with drug use, heat strokes, loss of extremities, and the sheer neurological drain that being hyper vigilant is.

There’s that rule with cats, where it takes a certain amount of time to adjust to a new lifestyle, a new home or what have you.

The temporal range for a human to adjust and adapt is much longer, especially with chronic trauma and fatigue.

Not to excuse the absolute garbage behaviour by many of them, but the amount of jaded-ness that people get when they’re ignored or at best treated like trash by everyone… it’s not easy to deal with and hold onto hope in your fellow man.

There’s also regression to ethical nihilism// necessity ethics. People don’t tend to recover from that.

Often people just get into a habit.

Mostly, everyone else in life has a full plate. There are few people that will take the time to help someone they don’t know with something brief, and even rarer people who will help you reach exit velocity.

Often these programs and things are entirely inaccessible to the homeless as well. How long until you get your identification stolen? Oh, and getting it back? Who’s going to let you use an address?

It’s not all as easy as it initially seems. That and you can maybe walk 20km in a day, 30km for some. Hugely limiting on what sort of activities you can manage.

Add that to constant run ins with the police, or shitty people knocking down on you, getting robbed or beaten up, severe injuries that never see treatment.
>>
Most of you wouldn’t make it out of that in three months.
