Had they taken a more cosmopolitan approach, they could have become an organic part of the Middle East, but instead they decided to go with arrogance and exceptionalism, thus sticking out like a sore thumb among all others. I do no see how Israel plans to keep existing in it's current state, while also constantly antagonizing all their neighbours, which significantly outnumber them.
