If Iran is so great why doesn't /pol/ go and live there? The answer is you know it's a shithole in comparison to the Sunni world. How do we know? Because people from the West are flocking to Morocco, UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Turkey etc and even moving there and making lives there. Sure these countries are behind Iran in some areas but the overrall picture makes almost all Sunni countries except for Afghanistan, Yemen and Somalia preferable to Iran. And you know this because some of you are sent to the Gulf for work and you find these countries safe and nice places to live. Muslims are even moving back to Syria from the West now the war is over. But NOBODY wants to live in Iran. Since /pol/ sucks the Persian dick so much and cheers for Iran as this amazing country, why doesn't it move there and help their efforts against the Zionists? The only correct answer is that it's currently going badly for both sides but Iran has a lot more left in the tank as they have no mid terms to contest in. There is a massive blue wave incoming which will go on to handicap the US operations thus giving Iran more of what they want during the negotiations. The most likely outcome is that the US will have unintentionally increased Iran's influence in the region while decreasing it's own aka Iranian victory.

Overall who won or lost will be down to who's interpreting it. USA has "lost" a lot of wars recently where you could argue the main point was showing they would fuck with people and that just showing that willingness maintains meaningful deterrence but such things is hard to quantify so might just look like wasted lives and money. Iran's revolutionary government came to power fighting and has had a knife against them ever since which is why they see it as a question of survival and not pennies or bodies here and there.
