the more public spending the less growthand the more spend the harder to cut because the resulting additional growth will be less noticeable than in lower spending countriesit's like obese people have harder time cutting than already fit people

>>539529297Or developed economies are exactly that so they aren’t going to be growing a lot regardless and the point of the spending isn’t to make the line go up but to actually provide things for the citizenry.
>>539529574>keep slaving your life awayWho is enslaving you?

>the more spend the harder to cutWell yeah, the government sets up new departments, new schemes or initiatives and it "creates" jobs in the bureaucracy, people's pockets also get full in the private sector as "consultants" and so on. Nobody is going to advocate that their own jobs or income should be gotten rid of. This accumulates over decades. I'd also argue that the accumulation is like a snowball effect. The bigger the government, the more people in said government that will want to be lining their pockets or paying their friends from the trough. Which is not to say all will do that, but if you pick a % of government that is just corrupt , when the government expands the corrupt people are most likely to be calling for expansion, hiring their friends, etc. Nonwhites make this even worse. There's a reason why things don't function properly there, too much corruption and nepotism. There's only so much of this that can be tolerated before you get into a runaway or negative feedback loop. Think of it like once enough jeets get hired at a western company, there's a point especially once jeets start to get into management that the company is going to go under. It might take years or even decades, but it's going to slowly rot.
