You can't use it safely around people and you'd better hope you can overheat the drone in time and are pointing at it when it's coming, because even a single done will destroy it. Glueing a thin foil to the surface of the drone will likely mean only the surface of the drone is heated while also being cooled by the air its moving through.

In most cases for the “AI” drones they are sent to an area like a cruise missile whereupon they search for a target. It is NOT targeted and really only useful for attacking rear logistics.

Variations can be mounted to infantry weapons.It's not a complete solution, it's vulnerable to artillery, probably has trouble with aiming vertical, probably not totally safe around friendly forces, probably doesn't work perfectly in complex environments like forests and cities. It's probably also more expensive than the drone that can kill it once it's located.Giant acoustic/magnetic sensor nets cueing incoming drones, combined with preemplaced hunter drones might also help.These are not complete solutions, you don't snap your fingers and win.

These are NOT front line targeting drones but rear logistics.Fiber optics are STILL the kings of the front line +10km.
