I buy most of my steak and chicken from the supermarket but in the last three years or so I've noticed it's all full of water and it makes the food barely edible. The chicken is indigestible once you cook out the water and the steak bloats up like a balloon in the pan, it is also as tough as old leather boots.I make it to the butchers when I can afford it but mostly I'm stuck with shopping at the supermarket like millions of others.Are they trying to wean us off meat?

more supermarkets are using super fast growing chickens that are cheaper but can grow bad and it makes the meat weird, google woody breastWaitrose still does normal speed growing chickens but its more expensive.
