I'm guessing that Trump's America was being friendly to Russia so that they wouldn't help Iran when the time came.Fast forward today, Russia has been supporting Iran. So, the deal is off.Trump's America was ready to use Europe as bargain chip to get Russia in line against Iran, for the sake of Israel. And eventually against China too. But Russia just couldn't resist helping Iran. I'm guessing China also had to do with it.Also, it's looking more and more like Ukraine will win come out extremely militarily powerful after the war. You want to have that on your side. Plus, America will probably be abel to grab itself some chunks of Russia too when they collapse.
