Reminder: if conservatives had embraced green energy 20 years ago, it wouldn’t matter that Iran closed the strait today.
>>
>>539598812
what an absolute retarded leftie take. it would matter because USA hegemony is based on the idea we protect trade routes. if we dont, we arent the global hegemon and everybody can individualize there trade routes and toll everything. secondly, developing countries cannot develop without fossil fuels which i dont care about but i bet since your a bleeding heart liberal faggot u would cry and send all of our money to africa for solar panels
>>
>>539598812
Remember that majority of conservatives in America are kike shills
Also, feces could be turned into electricity, I have yet to see them build one in India
>>
>>539598812
Reminder that nuclear energy is the real "green energy" but you don't like it because nuclear r scary and "not in my backyard"

Just use the hot rocks to boil water you fucking retards
>>
>>539598974
Yeah because trade stops if oil stops. How middling of you to think it
>>
>>539598812
It has more to do with the dismantling of nuclear plants, rather on purpose if you ask me
You could produce a fraction of your energy needs with hydro dams probably but you can't possibly match your thermal plants throughput without nuclear as is
If electric cars where mainstream it'd be even worse, because it's more efficient to burn petrol/diesel on your car than fuel oil in a plant to make the electricity for your cars.
EV autonomy is a joke, specially if you even consider it for logistics over long distances instead of just commuting between urban centers like europeans do
>>
"green" energy still relies on oil
The majority of your life is built on oil

Since evidently you cannot control the lanes and therefore are inevitably losing your hegemony, your choices come down to (1) lose hegemony and have an energy crisis (2) lose hegemony, but at least not have an energy crisis alongside it.
Also, if the rich countries stopped bogarting the oil when they didn't have to, then it would be cheaper for the poor countries to acquire and invest in their development.
>>539599078
Who is actually more likely to be preventing nuclear from happening, in USA especially: a few yogurt weaving green lobbyists, or the immensely rich and powerful fossil lobby?
>>539599389
Well, since oil is finite, that an argument in favor of energy reform, rather than against.
>>
>>539598812
>we could have supplanted oiltech 20 years ago
>nevermind that we still cant do that today
lefties, always good for the upper tier retard takes

the EV market wouldnt even exist if not for globohomo's infiltrations into bureaucracies around the world

We do control it. Iran is trying to take it from us but they're losing.

Conservatives weren't in charge 20 years ago and all the options were garbage. They're still only just now getting ready to deploy the first electric cargo hauling truck, and Green energy rail, cargo ships and farm equipment (The three biggest consumers of fossil fuels) are not even on the horizon.
>>
>>539598812
We did. You've been blocking nuclear for seventy years now.
>>
>>539600533
All things are a matter of degree.
If you had somewhat reduced reliance on oil, then the energy shock today would be somewhat lesser, and the war would be to some degree easier.

> green energy
It's a scam. It doesn't work reliably. We would have blackouts like the one in Spain/Portugal April last year again and again.
>>
>>539598812
reminder if US Govt followed Constitution Israel wouldn't exist and Americans would be welcome across the Muslim world, just like before.

>US Hegemony

You mean the neo-liberal hegemony. Its not the United States citizens that benefit from the navy ensuring global shipping routes, it's the global capitalist class that is protected by the United states navy.

Your analysis of the situation is between a second and third grade level probably about the level of your reading comprehension
>>
How do you build solar panels and wind turbines without material that comes from oil like plastic?
>>
>>539601047
Spain and Portugal have blackouts because retarded governments do not understand green energy and energy magazines.
Green energy need total overhaul of old infrastructure.
>>
Yeah but then iran would have no method to fuck with Zio's

So as usual /pol/ is always right

It was unironically the green movement that killed nuclear energy partially in Europe 20 years ago. Conservatives were trying to prop up nuclear energy back then.
