The tension between US and Iran has become almost unquenchable. It's so fucking obvious Trump is doing this dog and pony show with Iran (ceasefires, talks, MOU, TACOs) in order to get Iran to deplete it's weapons stock piles so US forces and initiate a ground invasion. Because Trump has three choices. Surrender to Iran, which he won't do because Israel. Two, continue the blockade and trigger a global depression. Or three, invade with a ground force to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He is doing the latter. Hence why most of the strikes are in the south of Iran. Iran, however, can mobilize, including the Basij paramilitary, up to 2 million troops to fight the invasion in a matter of a few weeks. Trump is calculating he can win before US reaches 1 million casualties in under a year.
