It's going to get worse before it'll get much worse.
Neither answer I will give you is going to change the outcome. I do however stress to you to go enjoy the last normal summer, these will be fondly remembered as the good old days.
The US will provide its own oil, and the rest of the world will suffer from sharp oil shortages and price spikes of natural supply and demand, demand chasing up price due to need, because Russia and the Middle east, collectively 40% of planetary supply for outside of the USA, has been stopped. Once the reserves run dry, the price of a gallon of gasoline is going to double every month and maintain that pace for a year until oil smuggling ships can find their way to buy from America and sell to the rest of the world.

When Trump does what he was always going to do and just pack his bags and go home, leaving the mess for everyone else to sort out, he will probably pair that with an oil export ban. It'll destroy the US oil industry in the medium term but it'll bring down gas prices to nothing for the midterms which is all that matters to him.
