Because his solution to COVID was to pretend it didn't exist, helping blow it up into a worldwide pandemic that rocked global supply chains. Once the restrictions started fading away by late 2021, it brought demand back to pre-pandemic levels but the supply was still years behind from being fully restored. For some reason, Biden was blamed for this. And after years diligently spent wrestling it back to the ground (which America accomplished better than any other developed Western nation), Trump came back and ruined everything all over again.
I swear American politics ever since Nixon is just the Republican Party repeatedly coming back to power by feeding off the discontent of their own policies that create long term problems that fully mature once they're back out of power. Nixon's Fed fuckery going off on Carter. Reagan and debt. Six years of partial or complete Congressional control and not making meaningful post-Recession change. Citizens United and corruption. Trump and even more inflation. At this point I'm gonna guess that whichever Democrat that gets elected in 2028 is going to be blamed for America's isolation after Trump turned every agreement with the US into toilet paper.

I moved back to the states from out of the country around 3 years ago. When I came back first a 12 pack of soda was like $5-6 now it's $12 unless you buy in bulk for a deal. I know this is a fat American scale to understand all of this but it's the one thing I have constantly bought since returning. I don't drink alcohol but if I did I suspect I could tell on beer too.

I just went to walmart.com. It's $7 for a 24 pack. Fuck off.
