the US was low on interceptors even before the iran war, due to ukraine eating up all the world's supply of patriots. then iran started their shit and even more missiles had to be used, including over a third of all THAAD supplies (originally meant to protect the US mainland against strategic nuclear strikes). so now the US is forced to ration their missiles, firing only when it is worth saving a specific asset. ukraine, russia and israel are all doing the same thing, but US supplies are probably the worst due to how expensive patriot missiles are and how low their production output is.
