I think it was a legit statistic that around 2000 Finland (and Sweden) were in top10 off all internet users globally because our populations were early adopters and obviously very few 3rd worlders had access back then.I can also personally say that imageboards in Finnish while not completely shit can be toxic as fuck to hang around in even if they are worth getting more local news, obviously. When I post here and read or comment extremely depressing shit, I still have at least one more dissociating layer more if I comment in another language than my own. The foreign news and issues themselves are discussed in Finnish boards too, not just local stuff.
