>>539751428Given everything we know about genetics I'd say its more a question of subspecies.The entire world is populated by homo sapiens and the discussion of racial organization is merely a question of characteristics based off of unique geographical features. The areas where races comingle show that those traits are mixed over generations leading to new hybridized subspecies. The discrete organization between subspecies is only possibly when juxtaposed in stark contrast.I would say that biologists especially those involved with the human genome could give greater detail on how many unique subspecies of humans there are - and likely many more than 5.

Perhaps this is a stepping stone towards a more detailed picture of our species through the lens of biological science. As a precursor theory it gets many things right - people from different areas of the world, just like all other flora and fauna, present unique genetic traits.The only assumption any one ever made was that race was self evident, when there is much more going on just beneath the surface. I'd wager that by the end of the next century, conversation will turn from "critical race theory" and other such outdated concepts towards genetic science. We (the west) actually really need to catch up in terms of this as the east (china specifically) has no limitations on them culturally (white guilt, multiculturalism, race politics, etc).
