Yes and no. 1. The realestate moguls are presently buying up trailer parks to shut down the option for Americans. 2. The ad OP shows is likely for a 65+ old person trailer park with a trailer also at it's end of life. Not a bad option for grandpa who want's to die in bed, but this house isn't for families. It has a bad roof. Needs skirting and probably plumbing. And termite and bug removal companies don't do work on mobile homes. So you might treat it yourself successfully or you'll be stuck with roaches/termites/ants. Many people are successful themselves, but keep this in mind that you're on your own. 3. A trailer for families costs $50,000 (needing some repairs) to $150,000 new. So hypothetically this is not a bad option. Though prices seem to have increased this year as no one can afford regular houses, so your mileage may vary.4. Many trailer parks are wrecked looking with meth-heads & pitbulls. (The people are often nice.) Or they are neat well kept looking trailer parks but expensive to live there with serious HOA's that can evict you if you break rules. The rules are sane, but still don't expect to set up a bounce house overnight. Even if you are in a neat trailer park, expect people to judge you as they have no idea neat trailer parks exist.5. You don't own the land and lot fees are typically $700 - $1000 a month. Plus insurance is similar to the cost of a larger regular home. This can still be 1/4th costs for an apartment or getting into a regular house. If it's newer and updated, you also have the option for resale which is good.Realistically I've lived in a high end trailer park and I helped a friend into a low end trailer park. My friend works at walmart and was living out of his car for 3 years to save up money for a used motorhome and lot fees. Now he has a home, a roof over his head, a bed, a kitchen, a shower, a living room with space to relax. All much better then living in his car. Our place has quiet neighbors. everyone has a room.
